Locating, developing and managing this data center infrastructure the "right" way is synonymous with ensuring high uptime, capacity availability, flexibility and capital and operational cost efficiency. Meta is seeking an experienced and organized coordinator to join the Global Energy team. Our team is responsible for commercial energy and clean energy supply to power Meta's rapidly scaling portfolio of data centers. A strong coordinator candidate has a passion for and interest in helping the team to operate efficiently and effectively and enthusiasm for identifying gaps and process improvements. The ability to manage communication effectively, track contract documents and data with a high degree of accuracy, use data analytics to generate regular reporting on budget and spend, identify gaps and process improvement opportunities and work cross functionally is a necessity for this position.

Energy Coordinator Responsibilities:
  • Lead energy interconnection and service contract management and procurement-related tasks and reporting including vendor on-boarding, direct debit enrollment, purchase order initiation and invoice and PO tracking and troubleshooting
  • Work with the team to develop capital expense forecasts, track actuals and communicate variance commentary to stakeholders
  • Own the relationship with internal contract and procurement partners. Develop and improve systematic solutions to streamline the procurement and contract processes. Collaborate with internal partners on professional service budget tracking, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Support data center energy opex tracking, billing setup and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain relationship with finance and other key cross-functional partners Support the tracking and provide updates on energy utility bills
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of internal tools and tracking systems (e.g., SharePoint sites, document libraries, internal dashboards)
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Degree in a business, science, or technical discipline
  • 3+ years of experience managing multiple procurement projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluent in contracting and procurement languages, familiar with the principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with utility bills and payment processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Experienced in data analytics
  • Experience building and managing relationships a variety of cross-functional partners
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with power utilities procurement and long lead time equipment procurement
  • 3+ years of experience building or managing a team's operating budget
  • Work experience with electric power industry players or large energy buyers
  • Experience with managing procurement tasks such as purchase orders and invoices

$126,000/year to $179,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
