Documentation Engineer / Technical Writer

Seattle, WA

Developer Infrastructure (DevInfra) owns most of the coding life cycle at Meta, from the time code leaves an engineer's mind until it reaches the people who use our apps. Our mission is to increase developer productivity so that we can continue to ship awesome products quickly. Meta is one of the leaders in the industry that is building innovative, reliable and fast developer tools and automation infrastructure, ensuring that every second of engineering time is spent on the things that matter. At Meta, we use many different programming languages for a wide variety of platforms and use cases. As one of our documentation engineers / technical writers, you will be part of a team responsible for documenting the technical concepts associated with these programming languages and platforms, focusing on the quality, discoverability and accuracy of technical content. You will do hands-on research and obtain necessary technical content from subject matter experts while translating it into clear, concise, structured documentation. This means sometimes you are documenting something yourself, sometimes you are editing contributed content from someone else, and other times you are fixing and reorganizing existing documentation. Our ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of project management and delivery related to the release and adoption of software.
