The ideal candidate will have a technical background, strong leadership skills, and experience in managing complex software development projects. The Director of Engineering will play a critical role in shaping the direction of our Spend tools and ensuring their successful delivery.You will be responsible for leading teams to deploy innovative solutions and meet Meta's growing product and business needs. At varying times this will involve creating a vision, establishing strategic roadmaps, and ensuring the highest level of technical execution quality.

Director of Engineering Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of engineers and managers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the successful delivery of our financial and spend systems.
- Oversee the design, development, testing, and deployment of our Spend tools, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, security, and performance
- Fostering innovation, encouraging experimentation, learning, and continuous improvement within the engineering team
- Identify new opportunities for the larger organization & influence the appropriate people for staffing/prioritizing these new ideas
- Lead long term technical vision and roadmap for large enterprise-wide efforts
- 10+ years of experience growing and leading successful large scale Engineering teams, and can recruit, land and grow engineering managers and ICs.
- Experience building large scale enterprise software systems from the ground up
- Experience as a great collaborator, experience building models & processes for aligning work across large teams, experience building the relationships needed to cut through obstacles and quickly resolve problems.
- Proven track record of building and leading high-performing engineering teams
- 10+ years of experience coding in one of the following languages: C++, C#, Java, Javascript, Python, or PHP
- 10+ years of experience designing and developing distributed systems
- 10+ years of experience building enterprise systems across Finance, Supply Chain or HR
- 10+ years of experience defining and managing software projects, and making data-driven decisions

$264,000/year to $342,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
