Joining an existing team, this role is in the Integrity & Support Data Engineering team, focusing on keeping the platform safe from harms like spam, compromised accounts, and scripted accounts. It will involve working with a number of different product teams, helping to derive new metrics around our integrity actions and to improving the overall data maturity.You will enjoy the role if you:- Are interested in learning about analytics for ML, and collaborating closely with ML engineers- Would like to work closely with engineers and XFNs in an area with company-wide impact- Enjoy building scalable data foundations

Data Engineer, Analytics Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain data artifacts (data models, pipelines and dashboards) to enable data driven decision making.
  • Work with the XFNs to understand business and product strategy to develop the data strategy.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and data scientists to understand data needs, representing key data insights in a meaningful way
  • Contribute to Meta-wide projects to improve product development and data engineering efficiency

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of work experience in data engineering (a minimum of 1+ years with a Ph.D)
  • 3+ years experience in the data warehouse space.
  • 3+ years experience in custom ETL design, implementation and maintenance.
  • 3+ years experience and practical application of Python
  • 3+ years experience with schema design and dimensional data modeling.
  • 3+ years experience with SQL.
  • Experience with data architecture design and data pipeline optimization.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's or Ph.D degree in a STEM field.
  • Experience with one or more of the following: data processing automation, data quality, data warehousing, data governance, business intelligence, data visualization, data privacy.
  • Experience working with TB to PB scale data.
