Meta is seeking an experienced Corporate Communications Manager for the Africa, Middle East & Turkey region (AMET), with a specific focus on Turkey to help lead our proactive and reactive projects, whilst working with other regional Communications Managers to help scale priority campaigns across the AMET region. You should be fluent in Turkish and English for purposes of dealing with external press and will have a demonstrated track record in consumer, corporate and product communications, particularly content-first strategies.You will need to understand the local Turkish media environment and the social debate around our platforms as well as proven experience of finding solutions to complex issues, embracing ambiguity and driving impact, whilst proactively identifying communication opportunities which can be scaled across the AMET region. You will be part of the Africa, Middle East and Turkey Communications team, with the support of our local agencies who support our work across the region. You will have experience in consistently working under your own initiative, seeking feedback and input where appropriate. You will have direct experience in scoping, developing and implementing strategies and plans that increase impact and offer counsel to multiple business leaders.We are looking for a team player who has demonstrated experience of trying new approaches, balancing risk and impact, can work independently and has in-depth understanding of the Turkey region, as well as a natural interest in the wider Middle East & Africa regions.

Corporate Communications Manager, AMET (Turkey) Responsibilities:
  • Devise, drive and build our content first strategy in the region, whilst leading and executing Meta's Turkey PR strategy, plans, programs and budgets based on reputational needs, communications priorities and company goals
  • Experience in working cross-functionally with teams, locally and globally, to manage media opportunities, broader programs and campaigns
  • Work closely and alongside regional AMET Communications Managers to identify opportunities to scale communications programmes and campaigns across the region whilst seamlessly project managing
  • Create campaigning platforms to proactively address Meta's brand reputation and technologies challenges specific to Turkey
  • Identify and pitch positive stories about Meta and its technologies to deliver a steady pipeline of proactive coverage
  • Provide communications counsel and support for business leaders
  • Prepare briefing materials and manage executive spokespeople during media interviews
  • Partner with, and educate press, bloggers and influencers about Meta's investments, including relevant products and initiatives
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Well established Turkish media relationships, with experience in working closely and managing relationships
  • Proven experience in planning and delivering campaigns by working collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven track record in crafting impact driven campaigns
  • Project management and decision-making skills
  • Written and spoken communications skills (in English and Turkish)
  • Expertise in managing agencies
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity of the wider Africa and Middle East region
  • 7+ years professional PR experience, agency and in-house preferred
