GenAI Content Engineering is a horizontal function supporting initiatives across the broader GenAI Organization and is seeking an experienced content engineer to join the team to focus on operational and editorial strategy.GenAI Content Engineering supports products through quality control, prompt engineering, fine tuning and creative execution. The team is composed of content experts with a wide-range of backgrounds in journalism, social media, creative storytelling, writing, editing, visual arts, film & TV production and more. Content Engineers partner closely with technical teams to prompt engineer, build and ship products from lab to production, across different modalities and mediums. They serve as a point of contact for internal stakeholders working across AI on priority product initiatives, and aim to build products and creative tools that entertain, inform and delight.The ideal candidate is a hybrid operational and content leader with experience in program management, driving model evaluation programs with internal and third-party teams. They excel at driving the development of high-quality content, managing complex projects and collaborating with internal stakeholders to evaluate model quality, bringing products from concept to launch. They bring a unique blend of technical, creative and project management skills, combined with outstanding communication and leadership abilities. The ideal candidate will have previous experience with GenAI, particularly model evaluation programs, editorial judgment and has experience with program management, including strategic planning, resource allocation and vendor management. Combined with their editorial expertise, the ideal candidate will have a knack for scaled and content tooling, have outstanding communication skills that will enable the Content Engineering team to work with product and partner teams. Content Engineer Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute program plans to deliver high-quality AI-powered content products, ensuring timely delivery
  • Develop processes to build guidelines and measurement frameworks that set quality standards for products and features
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder expectations
  • Lead through influence and collaboration within GenAI Content Engineering team and relevant stakeholders
  • Identify processes and opportunities to influence through scale
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 10+ years of experience with digital content strategy, technical writing, journalism, production and relevant skills
  • Experience working independently and autonomously
  • Previous experience collaborating with product and technical teams
  • Proficiency in editing skills
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills and impeccable track record of editorial judgment around nuanced topics
  • Experience leading and collaborating on cross-functional projects to build products, respond to urgent needs, preempt issues and address concerns in collaborative and timely fashion
  • Experience building products related to broad communities and niche topics
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with product teams or programs (or other equivalent fields) from roadmapping through delivery
  • Experience working in Generative AI, prompt engineering, annotation, and/or content labeling and analysis
  • Familiarity with Associated Press Style Writing

$189,000/year to $258,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
