The purpose of this position is to support Meta FinTech Compliance (MFTC) with the quality assurance of complex investigations performed by the Second Line of Defense. We are seeking a motivated, highly organized, detail-oriented candidate with experience in financial crimes compliance investigations. The candidate will have experience performing quality review of compliance investigations and building and maintaining relationships across a wide range of Financial Intelligence Unit stakeholders. This individual will provide guidance on various components of the operational work output to ensure compliance investigations are being conducted in an efficient manner with adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory expectations.

- Build and integrate a second line of defense quality assurance review framework on the investigations completed by the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) teams across Transaction Monitoring (TM), Know Your Customer (KYC), and Sanctions Screening (SNSP) programs
- Conduct quality review on the accuracy and completeness of investigation documentation produced by the FIU teams across TM, KYC, and Sanctions Screening
- Validate that appropriate determinations were made, including completed Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs), Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs), No-SAR investigations, onboarded and offboarded customers, and Sanctions matches and dismissals
- Ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices are adhered to by the FIU teams across TM, KYC, and SNS
- Timely prepare and present management reports on quality trends and insights, including repeated patterns, coaching opportunities and metrics to QA management and FIU team leads
- Apply analytic techniques to second line of defense complex cases to make logical and supported recommendations
- Assist in training team members on Quality Assurance practices and regulatory requirements related to alerts, SARs, and Sanctions matches
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to recommend and support enhancements to quality review tooling, optimizing processes and investigation protocols
- Assist in expanding the Second Line of Defense Quality Assurance program
- 3+ years of experience in a compliance program at a financial institution, MSB, or Financial Technology
- Experience understanding of industry standards as it relates to QA and knowledge of laws and regulations relating to money laundering including the BSA, PATRIOT Act, FinCEN SAR filing requirements, KYC, SAR, and STR
- 3+ years of experience conducting financial crime investigations, including SAR filing responsibilities, with proven record of high productivity and quality
- 3+ years of experience in AML-related quality assurance and training programs
- Proven track record in performing quality review roles at a high level
- Organizational and time management skills, with experience prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience in industry standards as it relates to QA and knowledge of laws and regulations relating to money laundering including the BSA, PATRIOT Act, FinCEN SAR filing requirements, KYC, SAR, and STR
- Experience with Sanctions Screening investigations and Sanctions Screening-related quality assurance and training programs
- Content creation and presentation skills, including building and delivering quality assurance summaries to management and leadership
- Experience influencing key stakeholders through well-articulated strategies and benefit value statements
- CAMS and CFE designations

$116,000/year to $168,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
