Color Display Engineer, Imaging Experience Architecture

Redmond, WA

The Meta Imaging Experience Architecture (iXA) team is seeking an experienced color display engineer. As part of the iXA team you will have the unique opportunity to interact with the best-in-class architects, scientists, and engineers working to define the future of display. At Meta, our goal is to build products that provide optimal content reproduction for each device. Content fidelity and consistency based on original intent is critical to the success of Meta displays. To this end, we must architect pipelines that ensure that color rendering appears consistent from device to device, regardless of the capabilities of the display or camera and viewing conditions. This position requires experience in display and camera processing, and color space mappings. The position is focused on solving specialized architecture problems related to image processing, camera color spaces, display color rendering and foveated color. Special focus is given to developing chromatic adaptation and gamut mapping methods targeted at virtual, augmented and mixed reality (AR/VR/MR) use cases, considering input from content analysis and environmental and/or device sensors.
