Meta is seeking a highly skilled QEMU Modeling ASIC Engineer with experience in hardware modeling, particularly on RISC-V or PCIe architectures. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining accurate models of complex hardware systems using the QEMU framework. Your experience will enable us to simulate and test various hardware configurations, ensuring the reliability and performance of our AI Accelerator.
ASIC Engineer, QEMU Modeling Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain accurate models of complex hardware systems using QEMU
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify hardware modeling requirements and develop simulation plans
- Develop and integrate new device models, including RISC-V and PCIe peripherals, into the QEMU framework
- Optimize and refine existing models to improve simulation accuracy and performance
- Troubleshoot and debug issues related to hardware modeling and simulation
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the overall QEMU codebase
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in hardware modeling and simulation

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience and knowledge of Computer Architecture concepts such as processor architecture, memory systems and on-chip interconnection networks
- 5+ years of experience in QEMU development, with a focus on hardware modeling
- Programming skills in languages such as C++
- Knowledge of QEMU internals, including device modeling and emulation
- Master's or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related areas
- Experience with RISC-V or PCIe architecture and protocols
- Familiarity with Linux kernel development and device driver programming

$142,000/year to $203,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
