Algorithm Engineer, Machine Learning for Cameras (PhD) Responsibilities:
  • Designing and training machine learning (ML) models.
  • Optimizing ML solutions for on-device deployment.
  • Fine tuning models for quality improvement and integration of ML models into product software stack.
  • Involvment in both software productizations and new technology innovations.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a PhD degree in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Computer Graphics, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.
  • Experience in Python or C++.
  • Knowledge of model complexity and optimization.
  • Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with commercial software products.
  • Experience with Generative AI based projects.
  • Experience working and communicating cross-functionally in a team environment.
  • Proven track record of achieving significant results as demonstrated by grants, fellowships, patents, as well as first-authored publications at leading workshops or conferences such as CVPR, ECCV/ICCV, SIGGRAPH, or similar.
  • Demonstrated software engineer experience via an internship, work experience, coding competitions, or widely used contributions in open source repositories (e.g. GitHub).

$117,000/year to $173,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
