Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of a large global software engineering team to support production deployment, configuration, and the operational support experience using VMware Aria Product Suite.
  • Develop and maintain VMware Aria Automation workflows, feature enhancements, and bug fixes for Day 1 and Day 2 virtual machine provisioning capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain automated tools for installation, upgrading, and patching lifecycle management for vSphere and the VMware Aria product suite.
  • Deliver VMware Aria Automation and VMware Aria Orchestrator workflow automation code as part of a global team assigned through Jira, progress tracked with Agile sprint ceremonies.
  • Develop VMware Aria Suite workflows using VMware Aria Automation features including Blueprints, XaaS, Event broker subscriptions, and Storage and Network profiles.
  • Install and upgrade VMware Aria Suite product lifecycle automation development and vSphere platforms on a Global Enterprise scale.
  • Work with VMware Aria Automation platform in a subject matter expert capacity to provide 3rd level support to Cloud Operations.
  • Utilize Agile delivery methodology for testing and production deployment to maintain security compliance with separation of duties security policies.
  • Deliver VMware Aria code features and capabilities using Agile, JIRA, and Git based code repository.
  • Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering (any), Applied Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems or related; and
  • 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related IT occupation.
  • Must include 5 years of experience in each of the following:
  • Developing VMware Aria Suite workflows using VMware Aria Automation features including Blueprints, XaaS, Event broker subscriptions, and Storage and Network profiles;
  • Installing and upgrading VMware Aria Suite product lifecycle automation development and vSphere platforms on a Global Enterprise scale;
  • Working with VMware Aria Automation platform in a subject matter expert capacity to provide 3rd level support to Cloud Operations;
  • Utilizing Agile delivery methodology for testing and production deployment to maintain security compliance with separation of duties security policies; and,
  • Delivering VMware Aria code features and capabilities using Agile, JIRA, and Git based code repository.
