RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform Software testing, using functional and/or performance test experience, including familiarity with test environment configuration, requirements gathering, automated test scripting, and results analysis.
  • Provide technical/architectural direction based on key system performance metrics and end users SLA (service level agreements) expectations for individual departments initiatives.
  • Identify and analyze business needs, conducting requirements gathering, and defining scope and objectives.
  • Drive awareness of performance-related techniques and issues within the development team.
  • Develop and acquire performance testing tools and frameworks, and implement test software for acceptance.
  • Define and analyze objectives, scope, issues, or organizational impact of information systems.
  • Provide analysis of performance testing results and provide insights into where optimization opportunities and application inefficiencies exist.
  • Perform pro-active performance review of systems and provide feedback and recommendations to application teams to improve stability and performance proactively and on both a need basis.
  • Work with and troubleshoot large-scale deployment environments, including load balancing (WLMILTM) schemes and analysis of host resource utilization/performance.
  • Design and develop solution architectures to scale backend systems using Python, Java, Spring Boot and rest specifications with strong understanding in Performance Engineering methodology.
  • Utilize full stack engineering, Linux, coding, and debugging.
  • Design, create, and develop Service Virtualization component for web, cloud, distributed and mainframe technologies.
  • Design and develop new proof of concept projects to enhance current software systems to handle increased traffic and larger datasets with cutting edge technologies including IMS Connect, AMPS, Redis, and Kafka.
  • Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Engineering (any), or related; and
  • 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related IT occupation.
  • Must include 5 years of experience in each of the following:
  • Designing and developing solution architectures to scale backend systems using Python, Java, Spring Boot and rest specifications with strong understanding in Performance Engineering methodology;
  • Utilizing full stack engineering, Linux, coding, and debugging;
  • Designing, Creating, and developing Service Virtualization component for web, cloud, distributed and mainframe technologies; and,
  • Designing and developing new proof of concept projects to enhance current software systems to handle increased traffic and larger datasets with cutting edge technologies including IMS Connect, AMPS, Redis, and Kafka.
