Global Risk Analytics (GRA) and Enterprise Independent Testing (EIT) are sub-lines of business within Global Risk Management (GRM). Collectively, they are responsible for developing a consistent and coherent set of models, analytical tools, and tests for effective risk and capital measurement, management and reporting across Bank of America. GRA and EIT partner with the Lines of Business and Enterprise functions to ensure the capabilities it builds address both internal and regulatory requirements, and are responsive to the changing nature of portfolios, economic conditions, and emerging risks. In executing its activities, GRA and EIT drive innovation, process improvement and automation.

The Infrastructure & Application Management (IAM) team within EIT is responsible for managing the organization's platform infrastructure. The team defines and executes the technology roadmap in alignment with the target state vision, addresses critical technology pain points, establishes remediation plans, and oversees the end-to-end infrastructure testing framework.

Role Overview:

  • The Technology Initiative Lead role within the EIT Data Infrastructure & Strategic Initiative team is vital for advancing the Bank's commitment to process and technology excellence. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the management of the Bank's Technology stack, including overseeing access management across different applications, and leveraging modern Technology solutions to address business challenges.


  • In this role, you will be responsible for understanding and adapting to the evolution of business processes, standards, and procedures within EIT, and translating these changes into necessary Technology adjustments and solutions. The focus will be on modernizing the EIT technology stack, enhancing the return on investment for technology changes, managing portfolio level backlog work, and assisting with infrastructure projects. You will act as a liaison between the technology team and other departments to ensure effective communication and alignment.


  • Key responsibilities include preparing cost/benefit analysis for technology updates versus new technology adoption, identifying opportunities to develop reusable technology components and design patterns to drive efficiency, and managing access control and user permissions across various platforms to ensure secure and compliant operations. Responsible for managing and prioritizing the portfolio level backlog, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and optimizing resource allocation. Collaboration with the Application Manager, Product Manager, and Business Analyst is essential to ensure that test plans validate end-user requirements. The role also involves effective partnering with Technology and Change Management teams, and various teams within GRA/EIT, providing operational, data sourcing, and technology infrastructure support. Monitor and communicate the downtime of all technology platforms for upcoming releases. Monitor the existing Infrastructure Health dashboard and report anomalies.

Required Education & Experience

  • Prior experience as a Product Strategy Lead and/or Business Analyst with a proven ability to solve complex business problems.
  • Solid technical background with a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Bachelor's degrees or above in fields including, but not limited to, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, or Business Administration.
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience (or holds a PhD).

Required Skills

  • Strong Technical expertise in software development and process automation.
  • Ability to develop and troubleshoot SharePoint lists and workflows.
  • Proficient in SharePoint designer workflows, InfoPath, and SharePoint permission structures.
  • Proven experience in managing and prioritizing portfolio level backlog work to align with strategic goals.
  • Excellent planning and risk management skills, with a focus on meeting project goals within budget and timelines.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to influence key stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to understand and address complex business challenges.
  • High level of ownership and accountability for delivering quality work.
  • Proven experience in managing access controls and user permission across multiple applications and platforms.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; with the ability to articulate complex messages in easy-to-understand language.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Experience with process automation and handling various data types, including structured data in relational databases and Hadoop, as well as unstructured/semi-structured data.
  • Expertise as a technology architect addressing complex business problems involving different applications.
  • Experience managing large data sets utilizing tools such as Hadoop or Trino.
  • Experience building container-based platforms.
  • Experience in building scalable platforms which efficiently use hardware across multiple different platforms.
  • Knowledge of emerging technology trends and solutions.
  • Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team environment.
  • Hands-on Experience in managing access controls and user permission across multiple applications and platforms.

Job Description:
This job is responsible for supporting data and technology requests, complex reporting and analysis, and modeling to manage risk and minimize credit and operating losses. Key responsibilities include reviewing and analyzing portfolio trends, supporting the development of more complex databases or queries to extract data, and supporting the production of data for internal and external reporting needs. Job expectations include working with Technology to implement changes necessary to support ongoing data needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports the development and execution of reporting to allow Risk and business partners to effectively identify and manage risk
  • Analyzes trends and supports the data design, portfolio trends, loss trends, and portfolio dynamics to ensure alignment with business strategies
  • Provides analytical support on various product strategic initiatives affecting multiple Risk functions and lines of business to ensure company goals are met
  • Participates in the development of database production processes and performance reports for senior management, using data mining and other advanced analytical techniques to aggregate data
  • Supports with responding to complex ad-hoc requests for information from both internal and external parties
  • Provides support on cross-functional efforts to remediate data quality issues
  • Monitors the outputs of controls and investigates alerts from the control checks
