Job Description:
Provide engineering, geological and other technical advice and recommendations to the oil, gas and mineral team in the management of oil, gas and mineral assets including preparation of net income projections and fair market value appraisals (in-house or third party); review joint interest billings; review authority for expenditures (AFEs), and provide election recommendations and consultation with assigned asset managers; review and provide feedback on joint operating agreements, unitization agreements and farmout agreements. Should also be able to inspect working interest operations on designated assets and comment on environmental matters relating thereto; in appropriate cases, should be able to communicate with well operators for remediation of any environmental issues found. Proficient with utilizing PHDWin reserve and economic software, excellent Microsoft Office skills, presentation skills and communication skills. Must work closely with other professionals (in-house and third party engineering firms) to deliver top-tier asset management services for clients and team.
Requirements:
Petroleum Engineering degree or other applicable engineering degree
Exploration and production experience with a major or independent oil company
Proficient with PHDWin reserve and economic software
Familiarity and proficient gathering information from various state oil and gas agencies
Excellent presentation skills - clear, yet relevant, brief and concise
Good general software skills
Experience with oil and gas title and land work
Intuitive and curious to learn and share
Desired Skills:
Reservoir engineering experience is a plus, but not required
Licensing as a Professional Engineer is a plus, but not required
MBA or financial services experience is a plus, but not required
