Job Description:
Responsible for management and direction of market risk management functions within a Product Area or several Product Areas (Equities, Rates, etc). Responsibilities include the ensuring global consistency of policies, procedures, analysis, monitoring and reporting of market risk for a Product Area. Additional responsibilities include analysis of model risk, the implementation of the New/Complex Product Approval Process, limit approval authority and reporting of market risk. This role also has responsibilities related to VaR Methodology and Regulatory Capital. The GMR Executive will primarily interface with the Product Trading/Marketing Heads and the product heads of other risk and support groups (i.e. Compliance, Finance, Operations, etc). Incumbents typically have over 15 years of experience in market risk management or trading. Leadership, management, product knowledge and trading or quantitative skills are necessary.

Required Qualifications:
- Masters in Finance / MBA with 10+ years of experience in Securitized Products Risk Management
- 10+ years of Market Risk or front office experience with a good understanding of key risk metrics such as VaR, Stress testing etc.
- Good understanding of real estate and credit markets.
- Proven finance or risk background with quantitative skills
- Ability to build good relationships whilst maintaining independence, handle disputes, negotiate with traders and enforce difficult decisions.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with traders, senior management and other areas of the bank understanding the requirements of each group.
- The candidate should have a good understanding of IT systems and their development process.
- Ability to multi-task and priorities, to meet deadlines without compromising on quality
- Ability to understand and communicate more complex proposals for management review, requiring good oral and written skills
- Excellent problem solving skills
Desired Qualifications:
- Understanding of regulatory environment affecting Finance industry and the impact on market risk.
- Experience working within Real Estate or Credit market risk
- Motivation to deliver in challenging fast paced environment
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel essential, VBA and MS Access desirable.

Pay and benefits information
Pay range
$200,000.00 - $322,700.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.
Discretionary incentive eligible
This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
