Job Description:
This job is responsible for performing complex analysis and modeling to minimize loss exposure and negative impacts to the customer experience. Key responsibilities include utilizing a variety of systems such as Excel, SAS, SQL, Tableau, and other relational data bases to provide analytical support on strategies and ensure goals are met. Job expectations include evaluating data to assess potential fraud risk and create mitigation strategies.

Loss Forecasting and Strategy Validation functional area within Credit Assistance (CA) organization is looking for an energetic, analytical and attention to detail analyst. The Loss Forecasting and Strategy Validation team is responsible for short term delinquency and loss forecast of consumer lending products, Decision Strategy Governance (DSG) practice and adherence, CA strategy performance validation, and other analytic focused activities. This team is an integral part of the CA operations, and plays a critical role in the success of CA organization

This role is responsible to create, track, and monitor strategy performance metrics on a monthly basis. Organize and lead performance discussions with strategy analysts, strategy owners, and other stakeholders. Conduct analyses to ascertain key drivers of trends and provide business insights. This role may also be involved in exploratory analytics to understand trend, ascertain underlying drivers, etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes and interprets large sets of raw data to recommend ways to help the business achieve desired outcomes and make informed business decisions
  • Defines, gathers, analyzes, and interprets data using applications and technologies to forecast future trends and communicates to leaders and partners the statistical analysis results and predictions
  • Coordinates the production of product performance reports and updates for senior management

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Generate monthly monitoring and tracking (M&T) reports for strategies and perform analyses related to strategy performance
  • Develop new SAS or SQL programs for strategy validations, and identify opportunities to improve existing validation programming code
  • Partner with strategy analysts, strategy owners for Decision Strategy Governance strategy assessments
  • Conduct analyses to support CA operations, Loss Forecasting and various decision making processes

Required Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of working knowledge of SAS and SQL
  • Working knowledge in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is critical. Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with people across multiple functional areas
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Desired Qualifications:

  • Degree in a quantitative field, such as Math, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Physics, and the alike
  • Previous consumer collections or credit experience
  • Experience working with large amount of data, consumer credit data, and experience with applicable tools
  • 2+ years industry experience
  • 2+ years of programming experience using SAS and/or SQL
  • Consumer Lending/Collections Experience
