Job Description

Value Chain Management (VCM) is accountable for our company's Manufacturing Division product strategy in alignment with Global Human Health brand/franchise goals as well as for leading continuous improvement of the product supply chain. Within VCM, the Strategic Planning Analyst will work in a matrix organization supporting the Value Chain team across the product portfolio (in-line and pipeline).

VCM work is strategic by definition, spanning the entire life cycle of products, stabilizing the ongoing business through appropriate risk management and designing the supply chain for the future. The position is highly integrative and requires strong data analytics capabilities, solid business acumen, and project management skills to prioritize and drive results. The role also requires cross-functional team leadership, collaboration, and exceptional communication skills. Key areas of responsibility include: product/project management, business process support, and data analytics; percentage of time in these areas will vary based on business needs.

Responsibilities

Product/Project Management & Data Analytics

The successful candidate will support Product Leaders or Product Managers in end-to-end value chain management in the long-term time horizon with the objective of establishing the strategic direction and key areas of focus for assigned products, which may include:

  • Supporting execution of Value Chain Management Teams (VCMT) and Supply Chain Working Groups (SCWG) composed of cross functional representation from end-to-end functions.
  • Developing and integrating analytics for strategic product or platform decision making.
  • Supporting strategic projects associated with the priorities from the product master plans that drive portfolio/network value creation opportunities to maximize brand assets.
  • Driving standard Business Process execution, integration and continuous improvement, with a focus on digitization and tools/systems improvement. Examples may include, but not limited to, Product Master Plan (PMP), Integrated Risk Management (IRM), Supply Chain Design (SCD), Global Filing and Launch Strategy (GFLS), and Value Stream Mapping (VSM).
  • Member of Strategic Asset Management (SAM) team, which includes leading annual network capacity refresh, modeling scenarios for pipeline products or source changes to support Supply Chain Design and siting decisions and supporting continuous improvement of the business process and tool capabilities.
  • Providing data inputs and analyses for value stream mapping activities.

Qualifications

Typical Minimum Education:

  • BA/BS Required (Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, Data Science)
  • Typical Minimum Experience/Skills:
  • Minimum of three (3) years' relevant work experience.

Requirements:

  • Strategic thinking and ability to assimilate complicated and multi-factored inputs into an integrated strategy that clearly links to business objectives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and an ability to work with large, complex data sets to answer critical business questions and be able to distill the information to key points for senior leaders.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)
  • Proactive mindset and ability to look outside the assigned role with an eagerness to identify and engage in opportunities to improve value chains and related business processes within the organization.
  • Cross functional/cross divisional project management with geographically diverse teams driving high impact results and influencing processes along with behaviors.
  • Ability to align teams to solve problems and resolve uncertainties and bringing innovation into every day thinking to mitigate risks.
  • Ability to work across boundaries and cultures, comfortable dealing and navigating a global business environment.

Preferred:

  • Understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations
  • Proficiency in data analytics and dashboard tools, such as Spotfire or PowerBI
  • Strong data visualization and summarization skills to make recommendations to leadership.
  • Project Management Certification
  • Lean Six Sigma/MPS Certification

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Expected US salary range:
$101,100.00 - $159,100.00
