Job Description

The Animal Health Manufacturing Regional Learning Partner is responsible for serving as a trusted partner to business leaders and stakeholders for an assigned group of Manufacturing and Technical Solution Sites, in order to enable business goals and outcomes by accelerating the development of critical capabilities needed to drive business success through a productive and engaged workforce.

Success in this role depends on a candidate's ability to translate the goals of the business into learning strategies and solutions, through partnership with Site Learning Partners, Plant Managers, Global Learning Operations, Learning Experience & Design, and external organizations. This individual maintains awareness and understanding of key business priorities/processes and external best practices, partners with site leadership to identify performance needs and gaps, and collaborates with design experts and operational support points on desired performance outcomes. Success will be measured through a defined set of key performance indicators. This leader will also build and maintain strong business relationships, build sponsorship, and collaborate as part of an integrated learning network.

Responsibilities:

  • Align business leaders on an annual training plan that is inclusive of both global and site learning needs, supports employee learning and development/effectiveness, and drives meaningful results for the organization.
  • Develop depth of business understanding to maximize relevance and impact on business outcomes. This is inclusive of leveraging data driven insights and other inputs to proactively recommend training solutions that will positively impact performance.
  • Determine learning strategies and plans based on identified needs and gaps to achieve business strategy. Align business managers around "best fit" learning strategies while collaborating within L&D Site Leads, Plant Managers, Learning Operations, Learner Experience & Design, other Regional L&D Manufacturing Leads, and external partners to leverage existing and/or develop learning solutions to meet unique business requirements.
  • Work with L&D Site Lead to prioritize and manage portfolio of work and overall Learner Experience for assigned sites. Ensure that plans are integrated and congruent with other priorities.
  • Create line of sight for clients into short-, mid-, and long-term Learning & Development plans, existing resources, and access to them. Build sponsorship for forthcoming Learning & Development initiatives.
  • Provide critical input to the Portfolio, Learning Creation & Design, and Learning Delivery teams responsible for overall planning of learner experiences and solutions. Ensure these deliverables drive business relevance and impact and provide a modern, compelling learning experience.
  • Partner with the business to define business and learning outcomes. Measure and report impact of learning programs against the desired learning outcomes and other defined metrics. Use data insights to continuously improve solutions and outcomes.
  • Ensure execution of a coherent, efficient, and strategically aligned approach to Learning & Development planning and implementation.
  • When necessary, facilitate training to assigned sites to ensure timely execution of training programs and/or reduce spend with external training organizations.

Ability to coach, advise, and influence clients to use learning solutions where they will be most effective.
  • Leadership: Ability to partner, collaborate, and impact decisions at all levels within and outside the organization.
  • Collaboration: Work with individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner, including the ability to build and maintain critical networks and collaborative relationships. Take full advantage of resident expertise within internal partner organizations to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Oral and Written Communications: Ability to express oneself to provide information to others effectively and in a succinct manner; outstanding verbal, written, and executive level presentation abilities and interpersonal skills; ability to ask thoughtful questions to gain insights, listen, and understand other perspectives.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Ability to use a broad range of methods, assumptions, frameworks, and perspectives when solving problems and making decisions. Ability to ruthlessly prioritize own and (if applicable) team's work. Seek first to leverage existing resources and align with other areas of AH Learning & Development before developing new learning assets.
  • Data Analytics and Insights: Ability to determine business and learning outcomes, metrics and measurement strategies. Ability to analyze and interpret data for business and learning decisions.
  • Adult Learning Theory and Practice: Experience in applying concepts and practices of adult learning to meet the dynamic needs of the business.
  • Learning Needs Analysis: Experience in assessing competency gaps and identifying what people need to learn for successful individual and organizational performance.

Qualifications / Experience:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 years relevant work experience
  • Must live in geography of assigned manufacturing sites
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%

Preferred:

  • Experience in the areas Learning & Development and/or Account Management
  • Bilingual / Multilingual

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, generally Tuesday, Wednesday and either Monday or Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate's relevant skills, experience, and education.

Expected salary range:
$122,800.00 - $193,300.00
