Job Description

The Director Payer/Market Access will work closely with agency partners, internal brand colleagues, promotions, internal communications, pricing, policy, legal, health economics outcomes research, and Organized Customer Access and Reimbursement teams to inform the strategies to support current indications and launch future indications. This role will report to the Executive Director, Oncology Market Access and will lead a team of three Associate Directors.

This role will focus on collaborating with brand marketing teams, agency partners and focus on customer segments (e.g. health plans, Medicare, Medicaid, federal, pharmacy, hospital, Group Purchasing Organizations, etc.).

  • Work closely with our Company's internal functions (promotions, communications, medical affairs, brand marketing, etc.) and external agency partners to develop customer specific strategies and execute as appropriate to achieve access for patients and achieve business growth.
  • Lead a team of three Associate Directors and one Senior Specialist to ensure optimal patient access for our approved tumors. Co-Lead the oncology product Payer Marketing Team to ensure we support above brand and tumor specific projects and priorities. Develop comprehensive payer/market access strategies in alignment with the brand strategy and execute across relevant Company teams. Specific areas of focus are: Pricing, Distribution, Contracting, Payer Value Proposition and Patient Access.
  • Lead the payer focus of the brand and the SubQ launch preparations.
  • Input into development and then execute on payer value propositions, channel specific strategies and branded promotional initiatives.
  • Team is main point responsible and accountable for resource support, on-going planning around messaging, and communications for field facing teams at our Company (e.g. Oncology Sales Teams, Key Accounts, etc.)
  • Provide input from US perspective into Global Access Teams, new product planning teams, Health Economics and Outcomes Research and business development opportunities as they emerge.
  • Work cross-functionally within our Company, including Organized Customer Access and Reimbursement, Market Research, policy team, Global Market Access, Health Economics and Outcomes Research, compliance, legal, pricing and others to understand build a value proposition for collaboration oncology medicines that allow for access and reimbursement that is consistent with label.

Education Minimum Requirements

  • Required: Bachelor's degree
  • Preferred: Master's degree

Required Experience and Skills

  • Minimum of (10) years combined experience in Pharmaceutical Marketing, Customer Management, Managed Care or Payer Marketing
  • Minimum of (5) years of experience in payer marketing/market access/marketing/managed care
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, problem solving, analytical critical thinking and planning skills.
  • Proactive nature and ability to manage change, anticipate risks, and design controls or mitigation
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills (written & verbal).
  • Proficient at leading across diverse department and roles and effectively engaging senior management.
  • Experience leading others
  • Strong judgment, prioritization, and decision - making skills, with understanding of broader context of corporate strategies
