Join our company's Global Vaccines team, a diverse group of professionals building on our 130-year legacy as a global leader and innovator of vaccines. We are part of our company's Human Health Global Marketing Commercial organization, a results-driven, ambitious team passionate about bringing our prescription medicines, vaccines, and other medical products to patients worldwide. We are looking for a Director Commercial Excellence for an investigational monoclonal antibody, a late pipeline asset set to significantly impact the burden of RSV disease in infants.

The investigational monoclonal antibody, Director Commercial Excellence role is a high-visibility leadership role, reporting to the Executive Director, Global Brand Leader RSV (an investigational monoclonal antibody). This leadership role calls on both a strong commercial leader and problem solver responsible for leading our ongoing launch planning efforts, competitive readiness activities, and commercial implementation of brand strategy. This individual works with key divisions across the organization to frame business needs and deliver strategies that grow the business and contribute to our C's mission to bring lifesaving medicines and vaccines to patients worldwide.

Within the franchise team, the role works across the team with responsibility for revenue, expense, and supply planning, as well as responsibility for key global launch planning workstreams working across the Global Regional Local (GRL) model. Working at the nerve center of the team - this role will ensure efficient and effective operations for the growing RSV launch program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead global commercial launch workstreams for an investigational monoclonal antibody
  • Align and collaborate with HHI Business Partner on local market pull-through of launch campaigns and performance tracking
  • Lead annual forecasting process for an investigational monoclonal antibody and serve as RSV point in Global Vaccine Planning Council
  • Lead annual tactical planning for an investigational monoclonal antibody
  • Partner with our manufacturing division to manage demand planning and serve as a commercial point in DCT, GFLS, Global S&OP, SCWG, Packaging WG meetings
  • Facilitate an investigational monoclonal antibody GCT meetings

Expanded Description of Responsibilities

  • Ensure alignment with the global brand strategy with local teams in priority markets as well as regional teams working in close coordination with Human Health International (HHI) and the GRL teams
  • Represent the needs of the markets within key cross-functional global teams and drive action at the global level to enable regional and local success
  • Prepare for anticipated competition, including leading competitive simulation workshops and implementing commercial strategy with the markets to defend against competition
  • Create strong alignment across global cross-functional teams to ensure readiness for product approval and launch
  • Partner with key markets and regions to inform strategy, positioning, and commercial activities that unlock full potential of our vaccine
  • Contribute to development of internal and external communications plans, working with key colleagues and partners to coordinate and execute messaging in alignment with launch milestones
  • Ensure product ambition and potential, as well as risks and opportunities, are fully reflected in Long Range Operating Plans (LROP)
  • Work closely with Finance, Forecasting and the brand team to serve as the point person for revenue and expense forecasting processes, including the development and delivery of presentations for Senior Management
  • Engage our manufacturing division and other stakeholders to ensure sufficient supply to meet expected product demand, including participation in Product Launch Requirements (PLR) Kick-off and Launch Supply Planning
  • Serve as the RSV point person for Development and Commercialization Team (DCT), Control Tower, Global Filing and Launch Strategic (GFLS) planning; Global Sales & Operations Planning (GS&OP) and Supply Chain WG (SCWG) teams that are responsible for global demand and supply operations
  • Oversee the preparation for quarterly Investor Relations meetings to ensure the brand updates are clearly articulated and that Senior Management is prepared to address questions from Investors
  • Facilitate bimonthly Global Commercial Team (GCT) meetings, the development of Objectives & Key Results (OKRs) and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) for the Franchise team to establish and measure progress towards quarterly goals in alignment with the Franchise's strategic priorities
  • Lead the development of our data strategy, in collaboration with HHDDA to ensure launch KPI development and data driven launch planning

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience across marketing or related experiences in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries
  • Strategic, innovative thinker with a learning orientation and desire for personal excellence
  • Business acumen and willingness to act even when uncertain of the outcome
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Acumen for understanding key market dynamics and seizing business opportunities. Proven track record of high-performance launches and driving business results
  • Proven ability to analyze complex data and create clear long-term customer centric strategies
  • Strong collaboration skills, both within commercial teams and cross divisional teams

Preferred

  • Advanced Degree (MBA, PharmD, PhD)
  • Experience working in a competitive multi player market to develop a winning approach
  • Recent launch experience preferred (global or market)
  • Experience working across functional boundaries
  • Vaccine marketing or Vaccines commercial experience a plus

The position is based in Upper Gwynedd PA with 25% travel.
