The Retail pharmacy segment is a dynamic and growing segment of increasing importance to the US Vaccines Business. To fully capitalize on the growth of this segment, we will continue evolving customer relationships towards strategic business partners. This position will be responsible for facilitating this transformation, through leading the US Vaccines marketing efforts in the Retail sector, while collaborating with the Field Pharmacy Account Management Team and US Vaccines Contracting. The pharmacy customer segment includes Retail/Community Pharmacy, Retail Health Clinics, and Long-Term Care pharmacy.
You will provide overall leadership and strategic direction to the growth of the Retail Vaccines Business in the US, from short-term operational execution to long-term strategic portfolio choices. In this highly visible and influential position, you will contribute to the overall leadership of our Company's US vaccines business.

The Director, Retail Pharmacy Marketing will serve to optimize our engagement with pharmacy customers for the U.S. Vaccines Business Unit by leveraging Retail Pharmacy as a channel. The role is accountable for defining needs and developing strategies and tactics to support the vaccines portfolio as well as maximize each individual brand. This leader will also manage and develop a team of Associate Directors aligned to prioritized brands and to customers within the "Big Six" chains. The Pharmacy Marketing Leader will function as a subject matter authority for the trends and behaviors of the pharmacy segment within the context of the vaccine business. The leader requires strong knowledge of the pharmacy segments, including reimbursement of vaccines by business model, policy environment related to pharmacy, strategy development, marketing choices, campaign planning, execution skills, deep knowledge of the evolving vaccines healthcare landscape, robust analytical skills and strong team collaboration and leadership skills.
Role Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of all facets of the retail strategy, including refinement of segmentation, support & alignment of brand value propositions within retail strategy, and defining objectives that improve vaccination rates within the retail setting.
- Support continued transformation into agile marketing that is well integrated with brand teams, other portfolio segment teams and the contracting & distribution team.
- Facilitate a positive culture while managing and developing a team of Associate Directors
- Function as a subject matter authority for dynamics, trends and behaviors of the pharmacy customer segments broadly and within the context of the vaccine business to help drive our Company Vaccines strategy and performance
- Foster customer prioritization and utilization of our Company Vaccines portfolio and compliant partnership with our Company given today's evolving healthcare landscape and decision makers
- Partner with Brand teams, ensuring a well-integrated implementation plan that adapts, and scales branded or disease specific marketing programs for optimal deployment with pharmacy customers
- Collaborate with US Vaccines Policy & Government Affairs to help identify important advocacy issues that help support pharmacy and pharmacist's role in vaccination.
- Work as a support to US CORE colleagues by helping to identify areas of pharmacy practice that can benefit from real world demonstration of new and scalable models that elevate and improve vaccination efforts in the retail setting.
- Integrate cross functionally with other key stakeholders including commercial legal, digital health, integrated account management, privacy, procurement and compliance
- Provide input to support-development of innovative pharmacy contracting programs and pricing strategies; understand the impact within the segment, and monitor customer performance.
- Collaborate with Customer Engagement Team, Contracting Team, Sales/MVCC, IAM team and Brand Teams to share insights to help meet the needs of our Company and the pharmacy customer and to design specific initiatives relevant to pharmacy customers.
- Develop constructive relationships with key pharmacy organizations (e.g., APhA, NCPA, NPhA, NACDS) and customer thought leaders
- Collaborate across brands/portfolio on preparation of the annual Budget Plan and the Pharmacy customer marketing budget; manage effectively throughout the year to maximize ROI and support a leveraged Vaccines BU P&L.
Education Minimum Requirement:
- BS/BA Degree Required
- MS/MBA Degree Preferred
Required Experience and Skills:
- BS/BA Degree Required
- 10 or more years of marketing experience including brand, Payor, IDN, or other organized customer segment marketing experience
- Demonstrated marketing strategic planning, tactical program design, and execution experience
- Proven track record of success with working effectively in a team-based environment, balancing diverse cross-functional perspectives, strong problem solving, leadership, and collaboration skills
- High level change agility, flexibility and comfort with addressing and adapting to ambiguity
- Demonstrated quality in oral and written communication and presentation skills
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Experience marketing to organized customers strongly preferred
- People management.
- Deep understanding of the evolving Vaccines US healthcare landscape impacting the organized customer segment including payer landscape, quality and health information technology

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

The Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job in certain states and cities within the United States. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate's relevant skills, experience, and education.
Expected US salary range:
$181,600.00 - $285,800.00
