Job Description

As the Director of Payer Marketing, you will lead a dynamic team to shape and execute the U.S. Market Access strategy for our groundbreaking therapy in Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH). This role offers a unique opportunity to drive innovation and make a significant impact on patient lives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including US Brand Marketing, Account Management, Outcomes Research, Policy, and Medical Affairs, to ensure sustainable access and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a talented team of ~5 direct reports and serve as Agile Product Owner, guiding Associate Directors, Senior Specialists, and Contractors in a Customer Agile Team (CAT).
  • Represent the US Market Access perspective as a key member of the BU Leadership team, working cross-functionally across the US Market, Global Marketing/Access, Medical Affairs, and Clinical/Outcomes Research.
  • Oversee the development and execution of payer customer segment strategies and promotional activities, supporting Account Management and Field Access and Reimbursement teams.
  • Collaborate with Brand Marketing to strategize for potential product labeling updates, data releases, and life cycle management activities.
  • Drive pricing, contracting strategy, and evolution to optimize market access.
  • Partner with Account Management, Sales, and Patient Experience leaders to enhance the payer and provider experience.
  • Work closely with Medical Affairs, Clinical, Global Market Access, and Outcomes Research to identify and address data gaps in Value Evidence and Healthcare Economic Information (HCEI).
  • Support Brand Marketing and US Finance in developing segment-level and brand forecasts.

Education:

  • BA/BS Degree Required
  • Advanced Degree (MPH or MBA) preferred

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • 7+ years of broad commercial experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, including payer and market access, marketing, policy, sales/account management.
  • Proven success in cross-functional leadership, teamwork, and executive communication.
  • Strong ability to manage complexity and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Strong ability to motivate, coach, and inspire others.
  • Deep understanding of US healthcare trends and policy issues and their impact on business opportunities.
  • Knowledge of our Company's commercial, regulatory, and legal compliance policies.
  • Ability to contribute to a positive team culture.

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience in customer-facing roles or marketing (e.g., sales management, customer management, account management).
  • Leadership experience in managing teams.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Growth mindset, willingness to tackle challenges, and passion for learning and development.
  • Financial management experience (e.g., brand budget, profit plan, sales forecasts).
