Job Description

At our Company Research Labs IT, our Enablement and User Advocacy team drives innovation by leveraging user experience, modernizing processes, optimizing costs, and delivering cutting-edge software solutions that support the diverse needs of our Company Research Labs. We are seeking a dynamic and collaborative Cloud Engineer to join our team, contributing to our strategic initiatives that span across our Company Research Labs IT.

As a Cloud Engineer, you will play a critical role in transforming our business by leveraging cloud technologies to design, develop, and manage innovative solutions that align with our business objectives. You will lead efforts in modernizing cloud applications, automating processes, and optimizing cloud usage, ensuring compliance with enterprise security and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cloud Solution Design & Development: Design, develop, and manage secure and robust cloud solutions that meet our evolving business needs. Collaborate with Product Owners, Technical Teams, and Scrum Masters to create project plans that align timelines with business goals.


  • Cloud Application Modernization: Drive the migration and modernization of legacy applications to AWS, ensuring that all solutions adhere to best architectural practices and enterprise standards.


  • Automation & Optimization: Implement automation to streamline processes, enhance cloud efficiency, and reduce operational waste. Develop and enhance Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to accelerate development cycles and ensure reliable releases.


  • Cost Management: Lead the FinOps framework by providing technical guidance on cloud spend, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and promoting sustainable practices across cloud applications.


  • Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all cloud solutions comply with enterprise security and regulatory standards. Document products, processes, and tools effectively to support ongoing and future projects.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related discipline with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in cloud services, particularly AWS.

Qualifications:

  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in key programming languages such as JavaScript, Java, Python, and C#. Strong foundation in cloud computing and networking, with experience in designing and deploying solutions on AWS.


  • Automation & Integration: Experience with automation tools like Ansible or Terraform, and familiarity with real-time and batch integration in commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions.


  • Problem Solving & Communication: Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to manage and interpret complex systems. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills:

  • Containerization & Serverless Computing: Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, and familiarity with serverless computing and event-driven architectures.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

The Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job in certain states and cities within the United States. Expected US salary range:
$111,400.00 - $175,300.00
