Associate Director, Animal Health - US Commercial Integrated Business (Aqua, Poultry, Swine) FP&A Support
The position will provide Financial Planning and Analysis services to the US Commercial Integrated Business (Aqua, Poultry, Swine) Team. The US Livestock business is in the midst of an exciting evolution as it continues to integrate innovative animal health products with technology solutions across the business in order to meet its customers' needs. The position will report to the Finance Director, US Commercial Livestock, located in Lenexa, KS.
Job Scope and Responsibilities
- Lead foundational FP&A activities including: annual budget development; periodic forecast development; and analysis of actual results
- Ensure high-quality, on time, and accurate deliverables to all stakeholders for all monthly closes, quarterly forecasts, tallies, budget and Long-Range Annual Plans (5YP).
- Ensure a system of adequate and effective internal control procedures.
- Proactively seek to understand customer needs and expectations to continuously enhance the support provided to the business. Help to enforce financial controls within the organization, including support of monthly close process with analysis of actuals.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales and Demand Planning to align on inputs for the commercial forecast.
- Manage the modeling of the commercial forecast and budgets by capturing various inputs received from the business.
- Manage month-end and quarter-end accruals and reporting activities, including preparing summaries of Integrated Business financials.
- Perform analysis of product sales, gross margin and product mix.
- Prepare monthly internal financial reports, complete with variance analyses and commentary and submitting them to executive leaders.
- Collaborate with finance Business Services Center (BSC) to ensure Integrated Business financials are loaded properly into reporting and forecasting tools
- Manage the submission of the Aqua division's financial statements into budgeting and consolidation tool
- Lead special projects and ad hoc analysis
Position Qualifications:
Education Minimum Requirement:
- BS / BA in Finance, Accounting or related field (MBA preferred).
Required Experience and Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in financial analysis, planning, or reporting role
- Ability to interact in cross-functional teams and with Sr. Management
- Strong financial and business acumen
- Strong analytical skills
- Driven to lead by influence and to execute on complex projects
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrated focus on implementing process improvements, driving efficiency
- Strong skills, aptitude, and experience with financial reporting software tools, including Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
- Ability to work in the details, while appreciating the overall strategic picture
- Results-driven and process-oriented
- Ability to work on multiple tasks under tight deadlines
- Ability to effectively prioritize workload and complete tasks promptly and accurately
- Strong problem-solving skill
