About the Position

The Animal Health IT Customer Master Data Management (MDM) Product Owner collaborates with stakeholders across all levels of the organization, from senior management to tactical execution- to understand customer master data management needs. With an increased focus on Commercial, Sales, and Marketing departments to understand their customer master data needs and propose MDM solutions. You will be responsible for leading the design, development, and delivery of customer MDM capabilities, focusing on data cleanliness, customer onboarding and enabling data-driven decision-making for commercial functions. Your role will involve partnering with internal business partners, IT colleagues, and vendors to implement innovative ideas and customer insights.

We are the Information Technology (IT) organization of our Animal Health company. Within IT, our team is responsible for partnering with business leaders to provide technology solutions that enable Animal Health to be agile, data-focused, and ensure reliability of customer data. The position reports to the Animal Health IT Intelligent Automation & Enterprise Data lead, as part of the Strategy Realization Office.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work closely with business partners to identify and interpret commercial, sales, and marketing customer master needs and respond with configurable customer MDM solutions.
  • Build and review requirements for the customer MDM platform, including its UI/UX.
  • Understand user personas across the whole customer data journey and deliver a fantastic customer MDM user experience that balances user desires with technology capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain product materials, including training documentation, SDLC documentation, and product guides, to ensure data integrity across all customer master solutions.
  • Direct end-to-end customer MDM program delivery teams and establish the customer MDM strategic roadmap.
  • Serve as the business liaison for customer master data, providing stakeholder relationship management across our Animal Health division. This includes setting priorities, developing data governance and analytics comprehension within the business, and aligning MDM, data governance, and analytics products and services to support business priorities. Collaborate with business, platform, data enablement, and IT teams to standardize department tools and cross-train teams to use them.
  • Research and evaluate customer MDM, data governance, and analytics tools and technologies, making recommendations for new capabilities that align with the company's strategic goals and improve business results.

Your Daily Activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Management: Responsible for designing and implementing strategic, aligned, and compliant customer MDM solutions to support business initiatives. Support management vision, strategy, and policy for building a high-performance engagement model with business partners.
  • Process and Insight: Realize core sustainable processes and enablers of successful delivery. Practice and foster a mindset of leveraging analytics to gain insights and drive data-focused decision-making.
  • Relationships: Build exceptional relationships with stakeholders focused on meeting business needs and maximizing value for investments.
  • Organizational Change Management: Demonstrate and drive high-quality change management practices with clients and stakeholders while implementing sustainable solutions. Serve as a role model for management capabilities and behaviors.
  • Global: Ensure that the solutions align with IT platforms and support the business strategy.
  • Diversity: Respect diversity on teams, embrace different perspectives, ideas, and knowledge while working towards a common goal.

Qualifications and Skills:

Required Education:

  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in customer MDM, data governance, business intelligence, or analytics.
  • Experience with MDM solutions in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
  • Experience working with customer engagement models, customer and product MDM, sales & marketing data is highly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Agile Scrum Master or Agile Product Owner Certified.
  • Office365 Champion.
  • Demonstrated success as a Master Data Professional in the pharmaceutical/consumer manufacturing or related industry, with deep knowledge of data and business processes and systems.
  • Ability to evaluate complex situations and processes and effectively integrate and synthesize data to form a complete cohesive picture.
  • Proven self-starter with high standards of excellence and an innovative mindset.
  • Exceptionally well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to negotiate and influence stakeholders and business strategy effectively.
  • Ability to navigate cross-divisional programs, coordinate projects and processes across regional/global boundaries, and build effective cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels within the organization.
  • A team player who places great emphasis on collective achievements and team diversity.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Expected US salary range:
$135,500.00 - $213,400.00
