Job Description
The Choi Laboratory is seeking a highly motivated, creative, and successful individual with a background in molecular biology, synthetic biology, developmental biology, stem cell biology, cancer biology, AND/OR computational biology.
The postdoctoral fellow position will conduct research at the interface of mentioned fields, while developing new methods in the nascent field of molecular recording using precision genome editing methods. Additionally, the position may involve leading collaborations across multiple laboratories within MSK, an outstanding hub for science. Successful collaboration projects will offer additional mentoring opportunities.
Joining our lab offers a unique opportunity to conduct groundbreaking research at the forefront of the field of molecular recording and synthetic biology, and to collaborate with leading scientists at MSK. The ideal candidate should have:
- Proficiency in molecular biology and/or computational analysis methods
- A demonstrated mastery of their scientific fields through their Ph.D. research
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) essential for interactions with the PI and lab members,
- Willingness to embrace different perspectives in approaching scientific problems,
- Ability to engage discussion about their or others work in a professional manner, and
- A sense of responsibility to contribute back to their scientific communities.
