Job Description

Are you interested in taking your career to the next level? We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director of Clinical Nutrition. You will be Responsible for all aspects of Clinical Nutrition Care in the in-patient, out-patient, and research setting. In your role, you will Direct MSK's Medical Nutrition Therapy Program to provide optimum nutrition care to patients following federal and local dietary guidelines.

 

You will formulate, implement, and monitor FNS policies and quality assurance programs to ensure regulatory compliance across the MSK network and keep abreast of new regulatory requirements for Food Service and Clinical Nutrition. In this role, you will update evidence-based practice and monitor for internal and external trends that may impact MSK’s FNS strategic planning. You will provide leadership and mentorship to the Clinical Nutrition Managers and Research Clinical Dietitian Nutritionists.

 

You Will:

  • Guide strategic planning, initiatives, operational changes, and revenue-generating programs for Food and Nutrition Services.
  • Develop and publish nutrition research studies, collaborating with Research Clinical Dietitian Nutritionists, Principal Investigators, and Service Chiefs.
  • Prioritize workflow to meet department needs and ensure efficient, financially sound operations.
  • Identify priority virtual and onsite nutrition education and cooking demonstrations with MSK and Ralph Lauren’s community outreach programs.
  • Collaborate with Nurses, Physicians, APPs, and other departments to improve patient nutrition care.
  • Ensure compliance with institutional/departmental policies, quality standards, safety standards, and external regulations.
  • Review and update department policies and procedures annually.
  • Prepare the proposed annual budget for the clinical nutrition area.
  • Provide oversight of departmental RISQ reports to improve the quality of patient care and safety.
  • Develop and implement Clinical Nutrition Evidence-based Practice Programs.
  • Ensure ongoing IRB compliance for research protocols.
  • Direct and document professional development activities of Clinical Dietitian Nutritionists.
  • Establish competency assessment tools and monitor staff competency.
  • Manage recipes and menu builds in MSK’s food service operating system database.
  • Develop nutrition education materials, videos, and patient presentations according to guidelines.

You Have:

  • 4 - 7 years of leadership experience managing Clinical Dietitians  
  • RD (Registered Dietitian)
  • N.Y.S. Dietitian/Nutrition Certification
  • Superb relationship-building skills
  • Excellent communication and written skills
