Job Description
The Department of Pathology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is seeking to recruit an academic breast pathologist at the rank of Assistant or Associate Attending level to join the Breast Pathology Team, a cadre of breast pathologists with extensive expertise in neoplastic and non-neoplastic diseases of the breast, led by Dr. Edi Brogi. The position provides an opportunity to practice breast pathology in a unique professional environment that emphasizes a multidisciplinary team approach to personalized patient care with cutting edge diagnostic and treatment modalities. Applicants should have a strong interest in collaborative research, for which there are ample opportunities with an outstanding supportive infrastructure. There will be additional opportunity to work and collaborate with digital pathology and machine learning experts on novel technologies and develop AI models as applicable in breast pathology.
Candidates are required to be Board eligible or certified in Anatomic Pathology and have completed a breast pathology fellowship and/or focused their practice on breast pathology in an academic setting for at least 5 years. They will be expected to provide diagnostic services in breast pathology, engage in collaborative patient care and translational research efforts with members of our breast disease management teams, and to teach breast pathology to fellows and students. MSK offers a competitive compensation package with exceptional benefits based on experience and accomplishments. Physician compensation is based on multiple variables. For the different appointment levels under consideration, it ranges from $ 185,000 to $ 355,000. This range represents annual salary only and does not include supplemental performance-based pay or any one-time payments that eligible candidates may be offered at the time of hire.
