About the Team:
In this role, you will work closely with the Sales, Marketing, Business Development, and Product teams to develop and implement specific strategic plans to achieve or exceed revenue targets. This role requires a deep understanding of SaaS offerings, Life Sciences and Clinical Trial knowledge and experience establishing communication and engagement with prospects in the C-Suite within Life Science companies. This complex consultative sales effort requires an overriding need for solid business acumen to effectively convey the value of the 3DS suite of products to senior decision-makers.
This role is an important growth driver for the business Globally. You will work alongside other leaders to develop specific strategic account plans and further the solutions for clients' needs. You will report directly to the EVP Global Sales. You will not have specific managerial responsibilities but will partner with other leaders in a highly matrixed organization.
Responsibilities

- Lead the strategy and help accomplish the team's results.
- Partner with a matrixed team by providing strategic Go-to-market solutions.
- Create visibility and credibility in expanding the ecosystem.
- Be in the market working with clients and company partners.
- Develop strategic direction to maximize revenue and scale in the global market.
- Develop new market initiatives, assess new markets, and analyze business opportunities.
- Be accountable for newly expanded programs.
- Develop communication plans for the community, including marketing materials and educational information.
- Lead large-scale client engagements and deliver quality client services.
- Provide ongoing feedback and competitive intelligence to the leadership team.
- Willingness to travel to meet client needs
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree beneficial.
- 10 years experience in consulting, strategic guidance, system integrations, and working with C-Suite Executives in the Life Science space.
- Experience working with technology partners, resellers, alliances, and system integrators.
- Have a collaborative and inclusive working style that builds on our strengths and uses the team's expertise.
- You will understand complex life science companies and have the ability to navigate in a complex environment.
- Strong executive presence and demonstrated leadership experience.
- You will advocate for the sales teams and build alliances across sales and the broader Medidata organization.
- Excellent communications skills and the ability to work across multiple clients and internal partners.
- Quiet confidence and comfortability working with customers to provide solutions.
- Strong operational mindset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where handling pressure and achieving deadlines are normal.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Clearly and concisely articulates ideas and opinions.

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
