About the Team:

The Analyst Relations Director is responsible for managing the relationship between Medidata and industry analyst researchers and their firms, including Gartner, Forrester, IDC, Everest, and others. Analyst Relations (AR) plays a significant role in Medidata's long-term strategy in leveraging analysts as a "voice of the customer" in strategic planning and decisions, research placement, and analyst interactions at events, through briefings and inquiries and interactive strategy sessions. This high-visibility position requires close interaction with the executive leadership team and collaboration with many stakeholders within the business to develop and execute analyst communication strategies.

Responsibilities:

Own, manage and strengthen relationships with industry analysts

Manage the process and complete all AR initiatives in partnership with key internal stakeholders and executives

Build relationships with members of the leadership team and other key stakeholders within Marketing, Product Marketing, and R&D

Develop and execute on business-wide AR strategy that aligns with company vision and goals

Establish measurement and reporting for the AR function to regularly assess the effectiveness of the business's AR Programs

Challenge the status quo of the business and seek out new creative and innovative ways and opportunities for elevating the brand

Identify opportunities to engage analysts with the brand

Deepen relationships within a research firm and build with new firms

Qualifications:

Detail oriented with strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills

Strong people and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate across multiple teams, including executive leadership

Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment working across global and cross functional teams

Minimum of eight years of experience on an AR team for a medium or large organization in the technology space

Bachelor's degree required; preferably in business, IT, journalism, communications, public relations, or marketing. A Master's degree is a plus.

Strong strategic thinker with an ability to synthesize information and generate insights

Prior management of complex projects and advising senior managers is highly desired

Understanding of the life sciences industry is a plus

The salary range posted below refers only to positions that will be physically based in New York City. As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York City, may differ based on the local market data in that region. The base salary pay range for this position is $150,000 to $180,000.

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
