JOB SUMMARY / GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This position is responsible for developing and executing Supply Chain Services (SCS) processes that support scanning of product into and out of the DCs ensuring product dimension accuracy for outbound truck loading optimization, and testing and setup of B2B communications such as EDI and McLane's SPOM PO communication application.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
A teammate in this position must have the ability to:

• Understand GS1 Foodservice barcode standards and customer barcode specifications.
• Work with barcode scanning equipment.
• Run and review reports on DC item scanning rates and work with Suppliers and DCs to improve scan rates.

• Work with DCs and Suppliers to resolve DC scanning issues reported in the Barcode Issues application.
• Work with customer purchasing and food safety groups and McLane Food Service Chain Promotions to resolve barcode issues.
• Create and maintain correct cross-reference numbers in systems for various types of references. This includes reviewing and making corrections to GS1 Global Trade Identification Numbers (GTIN).
• Learn and use Cubiscan equipment, including maintaining correct weights and dimensions/cubes in the system for all DCs.
• Maintenance and setup of SCS processing systems, including Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and Supplier Purchase Order Management (SPOM) and working with suppliers and the EDI and SPOM support teams as needed.
• Research EDI and SPOM errors and work with appropriate teams to resolve in a timely manner.
• Assist SCS teammates and provide coverage when/where needed. Other duties may be assigned

MINIMUM SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

A teammate in this position must:
• College degree preferred but not required.
• 2+ years' work experience in a demanding paced work setting.
• Good organization and time management skills.
• Strong commitment to customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Strong oral and written communication and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to quickly and effectively learn new systems and processes.
• Knowledge of barcode standards preferred.
• Access database experience preferred.
