Job Description

The Line Haul Driver handles the accurate and timely pickup of local backhauls.

  • Pay Rate: Line Haul Drivers make an average of $65,000
  • Day 1 Benefits available: medical, dental, and vision insurance, FSA/HSA and company-paid life insurance.

  • NO TOUCH FREIGHT.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Operate a tractor trailer to convey products between McLane and our vendors -- bump the dock or drop & hook trailers.
  • Inspect your vehicle for defects pre- and post-trip and submit inspection report.
  • Maintain driver log (manual or PeopleNet) according to DOT regulations.
  • Work safely to prevent injury to people and damage to products.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A).
  • At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor trailer driving experience.
  • Meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications.
