Maven is looking for an experienced, high-performing sales leader to help us meet our customer acquisition and revenue targets via our targeted Jumbo segment employers. You will be responsible for maximizing the potential of our sales teams while also collaborating with a cross-functional Maven team to grow our new logo bookings. You will also develop and grow relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. 

You are a sales professional with demonstrated experience building and leading high performing teams to navigate large, complex sales, close complex business deals, and consistently exceed goals. This candidate must be a strong leader who is extremely well organized, process oriented, metrics driven, and quality minded. 

As VP of Jumbo Sales at Maven Clinic, you will....

  • Develop and execute the Maven Jumbo employer sales strategy to achieve pipeline and bookings targets while supporting broader Maven goals
  • Utilize data and analytics to manage, coach, and monitor performance of Jumbo sales team to establish and deliver against individual strategies and goals; partner with Rev Ops to continually improve analytics to support team management
  • Work closely with cross functional team, including Rev Ops, Marketing, and Strategic Sales Associates to build and increase pipeline across the Jumbo market segment
  • Present Maven’s value proposition alongside Jumbo sales team in front of prospects both virtually and in person for individual opportunities as well as at industry events (~25% travel) 
  • Manage the team through the sales process - qualification to close - and ensure pipeline reflect each stage of cycle accurately 
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including other sales managers to ensure team has adequate resources to hit growth target (such as coordinating with internal teams to address specific prospects asks that arise in the sales process, ensuring we have the right  SMEs to contribute to opportunities and join meetings at appropriate times in the sales process)
  • Present accurate sales forecasts and performance metrics to the management team with recommendations for improvements, resource allocation, and investments
  • Proactively identify and remove roadblocks for Jumbo sales team to enable higher volume of sales
  • Help develop and maintain, both personally and with Maven’s executive team, a network of relationships with key stakeholders and influencers across the employer sales ecosystem
  • Manage recruiting, objective setting, compensation plans, and coaching/performance management of senior sales reps to ensure team targets are met. 
  • Be a thought and motivational leader within our sales and extended Maven team

We’re looking for you to bring: 

  • Successful track record of leading new logo sales teams to meet/exceed quota attainment 
  • 8+ years relevant experience in sales leadership managing teams driving multi-million dollar contracts, ideally to HR function
  • Process-oriented leadership skills that include a track record of scaling organizations to drive increasingly efficient growth
  • Growth mindset that thrives in a fast-paced start-up environment
  • Demonstrated comfort with data; ability to interpret and discuss analytics with ease in conversations with individuals of varying levels of understanding 
  • Proven track record in identifying, building and managing complex business partnerships that involve growing revenue and market share
  • Thoughtful and organized collaborator, working with and leading cross-functional teams

Helpful experiences and backgrounds:

  • A network of relationships with key stakeholders in healthcare: brokers, benefits admin. platforms, exchanges, etc.
  • Passion for documenting and contributing new ideas and feedback from market to product
  • Experience working cross-functionally in a face paced start-up environment

For candidates in NYC, CO, or CA, the base salary range for this role is $210,000 - $240,000 per year. You will also be entitled to earn commission and receive stock options and benefits. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, and skillset.
