Maven is looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to work with our Growth team. You will be primarily responsible for prospecting and generating opportunities for our Account Executive team to pursue and convert into Maven customers. Our business is fast-paced and we are defining a category, so you will need to excel in the ability to evangelize Maven’s voice with passion and credibility. This role will report to our SDR Manager.
As a Sales Development Rep at Maven, you will:
- Lead Generation: Prospect and identify potential clients through a mix of outbound activities (cold calling, email outreach, social selling) and inbound leads (handling and qualifying leads from marketing campaigns).
- Qualify Leads: Engage with leads to understand their needs and pain points, assess their fit with Maven’s solutions, and qualify them for further engagement by the sales team.
- Outbound Outreach: Execute targeted outreach campaigns to generate new business opportunities, focusing on key industries such as healthcare, enterprise, and benefits programs.
- Collaborate with Sales Team: Work closely with Account Executives to ensure seamless handoffs of qualified leads and support the sales cycle from lead generation to opportunity creation.
- Data Management: Accurately track and manage all activities in the CRM (Salesforce or similar platform), keeping detailed records of all interactions and follow-ups with prospects.
- Stay Informed: Continuously improve knowledge of Maven’s products, services, and the healthcare industry to provide insightful conversations with prospects and help convert leads into valuable opportunities.
- Meet or Exceed Targets: Consistently achieve daily, weekly, and monthly lead qualification targets, contributing to the overall success of the sales team.
- Ability to travel to support conferences or other prospecting related events
We’re looking for you to bring:
- Bachelor's degree and/or 2+ years of sales development or lead generation experience (preferably in SaaS, healthcare, or B2B sectors) with strong track record of success
- Excellent communication skills: Strong ability to connect with and engage prospects, both over email and on the phone.
- Self-starter with a positive, results-driven mindset: Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively.
- CRM experience: Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM tools to track interactions, pipeline, and performance.
- Experience with sales tools & software, including: Microsoft and Google office suite, Salesforce, Zoominfo and SalesLoft
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment: Adaptability and resilience to meet sales targets and grow within the organization.
- Passion for Maven’s mission: Genuine interest in women’s and family health, healthcare innovation, and the ability to connect with the company's values.
- Experience with sales tools & software, including: Microsoft and Google office suite, Salesforce, Zoominfo and SalesLoft
Helpful experiences and backgrounds:
- Passion to learn and grow in an fast-paced startup environment
- Interest in working in a team-based selling environment, contributing new ideas and feedback from market to product

The base salary range for this role is $75,000 - $90,000 per year. You will also be entitled to earn commission, and receive stock options, and benefits. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, and skillset.
