About the Role:
Maven is looking for a six month contract Business Sourcer to support our investment in growing our sales, marketing, client success, operations, finance, and leadership teams. In this sourcing role, you'll create an exceptional candidate experience while building strong pipelines and partnering with recruiters and hiring managers throughout the process.
This person will be someone who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. To be successful, you bring a collaborative mindset, strong domain expertise, creative and unique sourcing practices for niche searches, and a desire to support a growth stage start-up through scale. This role reports to the Senior Manager, Technical Sourcing.
As a Business Sourcer, you will:
- Manage sourcing for multiple, sometimes complex, niche, searches.
- Develop innovative sourcing strategies to identify and engage the best talent to Maven
- Collaborate with Business Leadership and recruiting partners to continuously improve best sourcing practices and ensure goals are met.
- Manage talent pipelines effectively and proactively use data to provide updates to hiring teams, recruiting partners, and leadership.
- Own and drive the business sourcing strategy, handbook, company target lists, and overall best sourcing practices.
We’re looking for you to bring:
- 5+ years of specific business sourcing experience in sales, marketing, client success, operations, finance, and executive leadership roles. Sourcing specifically in the healthcare/ health tech industry for these types of roles is a plus.
- Experience working in a startup environment.
- Strong skills in sourcing and engaging passive talent, particularly senior talent.
- A strong ability to provide an exceptional candidate experience.
- Experience building relationships with business leadership, with ability to influence and drive towards goals.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, and work independently.
- Strong, clear verbal and written communication
- Resourceful, highly organized self-starter with a bias towards action and efficiency.

For candidates in NYC, CA, or CO the compensation range for this role is $70-90/hour for a six month contract. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, and skillset.
Maven embraces a flexible hybrid work model. Our teams primarily operate from Seattle, WA, San Francisco/Bay Area, CA, and the New York Metropolitan area, NY. For those in our New York City office, we encourage in-person collaboration by requiring team members to work onsite three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday). This policy aims to balance remote work flexibility with the benefits of face-to-face interaction.
