The Team:

The MEGA Global Brand Team is responsible for managing and growing an extensive portfolio of IP and licensed brands in the construction toy category. Our brands, blocks and bricks can be connected together to create a continuous system of play, one that grows with little ones right through to adulthood! We work with our design team in developing new products, we develop global marketing campaigns for our brands, all while factoring in the business management of managing the global P&L and ensuring our products meet our financial objectives. Marketing serves as the link between our other cross functional design and development partners, finance, our commercial teams and many others.

The Opportunity: 

We are currently seeking a Senior Global Brand Marketing Associate to provide support with marketing, product development, and business operations activities, working alongside the Manager, Global Brand Marketing in order to achieve financial growth and profit targets.
 

What Your Impact Will Be: 

 

  • Manage day-to-day line development for products with the cross-functional team to achieve corporate goals.
  • Manage key milestones in the development process with supporting financials, PowerPoints and presentations.
  • Ensure product line meets financial targets and brand budgets.
  • Assist with the execution of business plans.
  • Collect, analyze, and summarize data on portfolio performance and in support of brand development
  • Work closely with the Product Design, Packaging and Development teams to bring innovative and compelling toys to market on time and on budget backed by Consumer Insights.
  • Collaborate with global subsidiaries to address global needs and market feedback; support global information needs.
  • Communicate franchise/brand and marketing strategies with all stakeholders including the internal cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain data accuracy of product line documentation.
  • Ensure consistency across the franchise/brand across assets and commercial deliverables.
  • Deliver item-level forecasting, tracking, and performance roll-ups in order to impact Global marketing strategy.
  • Create product, ecomm, and marketing briefs and work with cross-functional teams on development
  • Monitor key trends, brands and competitors’ performance in all markets
  • Act as point of contact for brand inquiries and dissemination of brand information

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field;
  • 2 to 4 years’ experience in consumer or brand marketing;
  • Understanding of standard marketing techniques;
  • Understanding of the business objectives related to marketing/brand management;
  • Basic understanding of research methodologies and when they are used;
  • Basic understanding of annual financial plans;
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel;
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint;
  • Ability to differentiate and create compelling positioning statements and relevance for our consumers and customers;
  • Ability to drive change and results through influential leadership skills;
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment;
  • Time management and quantitative skills;
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills;
  • Strong communication and presentation skills;
  • Proactive and diligent - sees challenges as opportunities and translates them into actionable items;
  • Experience with product development (asset);
  • Proficient in both English and French languages is required (verbal and written);
  • Positive attitude;
  • Solution-oriented.
  • Demonstrated a growth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning, embracing challenges, and improving themselves.
