Job Description

The Opportunity: 
The ideal Creative & Production Associate is a multi-faceted role that encompasses multiple aspects of our internal photography process. They will be responsible for image content creation including creative ideation for key product launches, shot list development, and the production aspects of a photo shoot, all based on briefed objectives and creative direction. The Creative & Production Associate will be required to understand and implement critical creative direction, have a strategic and customer centric understanding of product, manage multiple tasks and projects at a time, and solve creative challenges in an intense, speed-centric environment. The Creative & Production Associate will also work closely with cross functional teams at American Girl across our Marketing team, Brand Creative team, our Digital Engagement Group team to support product sample needs for multiple projects.

What Your Impact Will Be: 

 

Creative:

  • Capture and create compelling visual content including images, videos, and gifs, to engage our audience and align with our brand voice.
  • Collaborate with in-house creative team on content capture for larger scale launches and special projects to ensure a cohesive look across channels.
  • Ideate and present ideas that push our creative boundaries while maintaining our premium quality of our brand.
  • Research, develop, and conceptualize content that that aligns with our creative direction and supports the overall brand vision.
  • Assist in art directing Product on White Sweep and Doll Set photoshoots.
  • Work directly with internal retouching and post production teams.

 

Samples Coordination:

  • Supports AG production team in obtaining and organizing product for both marketing and packaging assets.
  • Communicates with product development and MOA to keep track on product timelines, delays, changes, and delivery.
  • In addition to our productions, this role is responsible for obtaining and sending samples to AG influencers, AG TikTok, and AG Playisode productions.
  • In preparation of product styling this role will set up all dolls, accessories, and prints styling notes for Doll Stylists.
  • Responsible for storing, cataloging, and keeping track of all products in studio and in El Segundo warehouse.
  • Communicate with AG warehouse for material withdrawals when production/marketing needs carry over product.
  • Handles all shipping and receiving of AG product for productions.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • 1-3 years’ experience in a production related role for a retail or ecommerce-based brand or creative agency.
  • Strong organization skills and the ability to multi-task across samples coordination and content creation.
  • Familiar with post-production content creation such as photo retouching, video editing, color grading, sound design, and GIF creation.
  • Has a finger on the pulse of pop culture trends, and current events.
  • Strong creative writing skills with the ability to write photoshoot concepts.
  • Strong collaboration skills and must work well in a team environment, contributing to the positive morale of the photo studio.
  • Strong aesthetic eye with superior composition and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where priorities change often; meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office software.
  • Experience working in project management software, specifically Workfront and SharePoint a plus.
  • Ability to build relationships quickly and work well with many different teams and personalities.


The base hourly rate for this position is between $27.50 to $36.50.
**This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however base hourly rate will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
