Mattel Australia & New Zealand are seeking a proactive and passionate Senior Brand Manager to join our Marketing team! This role will focus on inspiring the wonder of childhood everyday via the development and execution of go to Market plans for the designated brands.

The right candidate for this role will have effective interpersonal skills, a love of finding answers through numbers, and will be excited to join a purpose drive, fun (we sell toys!) and fast paced organisation where no two days are the same.

As a Senior Brand Manager you will be responsible for: 

  • Driving the development of annual marketing plans for long term growth on the brands, aligned to global priorities and targets.
  • Constantly evaluating and re-evaluating the plans in line with business needs, changing marketplace, key objectives and initiatives, promotional programs and quantitative performance measures.
  • Analysing and interpreting marketing, trade and consumer research information and make recommendations to the sales team regarding pricing, promotions, distribution channels, advertising and competition.
  • Making recommendations on product development to ensure local requirements are considered in the development process.
  • Reviewing weekly POS, NPD and Sales information and recommend changes in pricing, media and product mix.  Adapting marketing plans where required.
  • Setting high level A&P plans/direction, working with Brand Managers & co-ordinators to ensure budgets are maintained and accurate.
  • Setting local brand objectives to align with short and long range strategies, in alignment with global targets
  • Working alongside Mattel Sales, develop plans to create additional sales opportunities for retailers driving YOY growth.
  • Leading BU from a marketing perspective working side by side with Sales BU lead to ensure business financial targets are being achieved, work on strategies to hit targets

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualified in either marketing, business management, economics, or other business related disciplines.
  • 5+ years of loving life as a Brand Manager.
  • A love of finding the answer through numbers.
  • Experience working with/ within retailers to build and execute plans.
  • Experience with partnering with Sales Teams for a shared result.
  • The want and ability to inspire, engage and influence others
