The Opportunity

Mattel Australia & New Zealand are seeking a proactive and team-oriented Sales Coordinator to join our New Zealand Sales team!

The right candidate for this role will have effective communication skills, attention to detail, and will be excited to join a purpose drive, fun (we sell toys!) and fast paced organisation where no two days are the same.

As a Sales Coordinator, you will be responsible for: 

  • Assist the Sales team with the implementation and maintenance of tracking tools (mostly Excel based) for Promotions, Catalogues and field activity
  • Use reports to derive commercial insights to improve decision making.
  • Account administrational support, load images, submission forms, data uploads, order forms, offers and communications
  • Provide additional coverage for the Independent Toy Retailers together with support for new business opportunities as required
  • Assist in monitoring SKU performance data to help identity potential inventory opportunities and risks
  • Lead the order processing for New Zealand accounts in a timely manner. Provide ad hoc additional coverage for Australians order processing team during peak periods and holiday coverage
  • Assist in the coordination of the sales planning process
  • Assist in the planning and execution of internal and external promotional events such as Toy Fair, customer presentations, etc
  • Assist in presentation preparation utilising Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing samples
  • Filing, copying and other administrative tasks as required

Qualifications

 

Experience, knowledge and skills we think the right candidate will hold:

  • Experience with Excel (ability to use Vlookups is favourable)
  • Degree in Business/Sales (preferable but not a requirement)
  • Strong time management abilities
  • Problem solving abilities
  • Strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Works well under pressure
