The Opportunity: 

Our MEGA Integrated Marketing Communications Team located in Montréal is seeking a Lead Digital Producer with a strong background in advertising and marketing to join our dynamic team.  This role is crucial in driving the creative vision and execution of challenger advertising campaigns, ensuring that each project aligns with our brand strategy and meets our quality standard & marketing objectives.

What Your Impact Will Be: 

Video Production - Advertising & Social Content (Primary Responsibilities 80%)

Manage the production of Demand Creation Videos from ideation through delivery, working with internal and external partners, ensuring strong and impactful break-frame creative. Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet creative objectives

  • Support creative development from conception to completion, assisting with identifying scope, assessing budget, and outlining production needs
  • Manage production of creative assets, working with in-house and third-party resources.
  • Support translating annual marketing calendars into production calendars and manage date shifts with internal and external partners.
  • Contribute to the development of audience-first breakthrough creative approach and style for social content, advertising campaigns and photo content
  • Build project estimates, schedules, budgets and Statements of Work (SOW).
  • Build all projects within WorkFront (project management tool) for tracking and reporting.
  • Manage communication flow with internal (cross-functional teams) and external stakeholders (free-lancers, agencies)
  • Track product samples, assist in developing and disseminating creative treatments, storyboards, and briefs.
  • Manage asset delivery, metadata, and organization with the Mattel DAM.
  • Direct, perform and edit internal product photo and video sessions.
  • Think strategically about productions and campaigns to find the most efficient creative and impactful pipeline for production
  • Monitor the proper use and upkeep of the studio equipment

Innovation and Communication (20%)

Maintain detailed communication with stakeholders and brand teams, providing regular status updates and ensuring alignment throughout the production process. Contribute to identify and cultivate strategic partnerships and innovative production techniques to disrupt the category and propel Mega at the forefront of the ever-changing digital landscape

  • Stay ahead of the curve on ever-changing digital platforms, trends and best practices.
  • Innovate with new production techniques and approaches to stay ahead of the ever-changing landscape.
  • Communicate and coordinate with internal and external partners to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Provide regular status updates to cross-functional teams.
  • Work cross-functionally with legal to create contracts that are strategic to the goals of each project.
  • Look for opportunities to repurpose assets and reduce wastage.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

 

Competencies/Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in film production, communications or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of production experience, creating videos for digital platforms, specifically working with a Mac.
  • Strong understanding of digital content platforms and requirements.
  • Creative thinking skills with experience innovating that leads to engaging and playful visual storytelling.
  • Excellent creative and technical skills for digital photography and video
  • Experience with post production, localization, and distribution.
  • Bilingual (English and French), oral and written
  • Demonstrated a growth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning, embracing challenges, and improving themselves.
