    As the HR Intern at the NL Office based in Amstelveen, The Netherlands, you will be joining an incredibly fast-paced and dynamic team looking after our “BeNoNe” region (Belgium, Nordics, Netherlands) and support EMEA region centers of expertise in Talent and Comp & Ben.

    Over a period of 6-9 months you will have the opportunity to gain experience in many different aspects of HR, working mainly with the HR Business Partner to complete a range of different tasks. You will also get first-hand experience in organizing and managing a variety of projects and events.

    What Your Impact Will Be

    • Support on policies and procedures at all stages of the employee experience cycle
    • Embed new processes, and ensure high quality service delivery in payroll, operations and administration
    • Support the HR Business Partner to drive culture change initiatives to energize, excite and engage employees
    • Collaborate and engage with the wider HR and business community
    • Support in the full recruitment process from sourcing, to interview and onboarding
    • Support in the development and implementation of engagement local activities
    • Preparing legal documents such as hiring letters, and changes of contracts
    • Tracking of probation, temporary staff dates, and managing sickness, maternity leave, holidays, time & attendance, among others
    • Collecting and processing all input regarding the payroll cycle
    • Ensure the relevant HR database is up to date, accurate and complies with legislation
    • Promote and embed Mattel values in all aspects of the People agenda.

    Qualifications

    What We’re Looking For:  

    • Pursuing a business-related degree (Bachelor/Master) with a keen interest in HR
    • Excellent organization and planning skills
    • Excellent MS Office skills (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint)
    • Experience with Workday and / or Smart Recruiter is a plus
    • Great communication skills (both written and verbal)
    • Pro-active team player
    • Fluent in English and Dutch is a must
    • A valid work permit for The Netherlands is required
