Job Description

The Opportunity: 

Mattel is seeking a Face Designer to join our Face Design Team. The group is focused on supporting the creation of new product opportunities by understanding the consumer and trends that are then translated into successful product. This involves creating and communicating face designs that support toy concepts in 2D and/or 3D models to design and marketing management. The ideal candidate will possess face painting, fine arts, 3D knowledge and dexterity to create on doll scale. We are looking for someone that has the ability to work on challenging and fun products as well as ideating new concepts with internal partners.

What Your Impact Will Be: 

 

  • Actively support new face designs to enhance the brand.
  • Execute on Product Design team direction.
  • Successfully present and communicate their concepts to the design and other creative departments.
  • Manage the early phases of design and development with other disciplines within the company.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • Graphic design, fine artist, 3D experience.
  • Understanding face sculpture, color & blends.
  • Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, Maya, Z Brush.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
  • Ability to project manage in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ideal candidate will exhibit interest and knowledge of the current trends.
  • Demonstrated a growth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning, embracing challenges, and improving themselves.

The annual base salary range for this position is between $73,600 and $85,000.
**This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
