The Opportunity:
In this role, you will provide a level of service, to consumers, that ensures consumer expectations are met and surpassed. As a result, projecting Mattel as the market service provider leader within the toy industry.
You will be supporting the ANZ market while based in Kuala Lumpur.
What Your Impact Will Be:
Consumer Response
- Ensure prompt and courteous attention to all consumer inquiries in order for internal and external customer expectations to be met and surpassed.
- Assist consumers with all forms of product information inquiries, including product availability, quality inquiries, spare parts request and product warranty inquiries
- Liaise with Warehouse Distribution staff to communicate consumer delivery expectations for spare part or replacement products.
- Ensure all consumer calls and letters are answered in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure all information is captured in the AS400 system to maintain a Consumer database.
- Ensure that all Safety Complaints are fully documented and reported to relevant staff as a priority.
Product Knowledge
- Maintain an acceptable level of product knowledge in order to provide accurate and up-to-date information to both internal and external customers.
- Liaise with Business Unit staff to share and receive information product knowledge, promotions and consumer concerns.
Administration
- Provide and maintain all Consumer Response Key Performance Indicators, including type and number of Consumer related inquiries issued and gather statistics from the 1300 phone system.
- Filing and maintenance of relevant consumer correspondence documents into archive storage.
- Process and record activities to ensure the day-to-day control of consumer transactions and to facilitate data capture.
Product Recalls
- Assist consumers with all forms of recall information and inquiries when required.
- Ensure all product information is recorded correctly to provide accurate data at all times.
Safety
- All Safety Complaints, Customer information and incidents processed in the Consumer Data Base, updated in the Safety Case Logbook and emailed to relevant staff.
- Complete ACCC Forms and email to Management within mandatory 48-hour timeframe.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For:
- Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Accurate data entry skills
- Previous experience in a Customer Service/Consumer Response role
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Attention to detail
- Works well under pressure
- Customer focus – polite but firm when necessary, patient and calm under pressure
- Team orientation – able to work effectively in a team environment
- Follow-up – strong attention to detail, systematic, well organized, manages time effectively
- Sets own high standards, establishes procedures to ensure work is completed efficiently
