Job Description
The purpose of the Color Coordinator position at Mattel is to help maintain color consistency and accuracy of color across manufacturing. The Color Coordinator will work with manufacturing, Design and Development in Asia and North America, and report into our Global Materials R&D team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing color data to ensure accuracy and consistency in our products. You will work closely with various departments, including design, production, and quality, to ensure that color standards are met and maintained throughout the product lifecycle. Your expertise in color theory, data analysis, and project management will be crucial in driving our product development processes forward. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in color science, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams. You will be responsible for maintaining color databases, conducting color evaluations, and providing recommendations for color improvements. Additionally, you will play a key role in troubleshooting color-related issues and implementing corrective actions. Job Duties:
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure accurate color reproduction
- Maintain color libraries and resources
- Review and approve color submissions
- Communicate color information across enterprise
- Collaborate with counterparts and Design to align color across brands
- Troubleshoot color-related issues and implement corrective actions
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors on color specifications
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Color Coordinator, Engineer or similar role
- Experience in creating and managing color libraries
- Experience with spectrophotometry
- In-depth knowledge of color theory
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PPT, Teams, etc)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in English (directly report to US lead)
