The Team:

We have an existing opportunity for an Associate Key Account Manager to join our EEMEA EXPORT Sales Team in Athens reporting to the Sr. Sales & Marketing Manager Export. The key objectives of this role are to work alongside highly motivated colleagues in ultimately achieving sales volume and revenue targets within Export Sales team.

The Opportunity: 

You'll be responsible for building, managing & developing long-term business partnerships with a client portfolio in Export region, achieve the targeted revenue and profit metrics, you'll achieve this by increasing and elevating the brand presence for the iconic brands of Mattel. We'll also rely on you to be a core contributor to the planning, managing, and executing the business for your clientele.

Job Objectives:

Development of long term “win-win” relations with the key customers

İmplement market share, brand sales-profit targets to the key customers

Deliver excellent customer service / customer satisfaction

İdentify opportunities

İmplementation of commercial policy and “win-win” sales terms and conditions

Development and implementation of key accounts plans

Programming of the customers’ sales plan

Working with orders and shipments

Collections

Servicing the products and the brands

Market research-competition analysis

Servicing the account

Key responsibilities

  • Development and implementation of “win-win” relations
  • Develop and implement key accounts plans
  • Contact with the key people of the customer/distributor
  • Identify opportunities to these accounts
  • Coordinator of all Mattel depts that service the key customer/distributor
  • Solve all key accounts complaints
  • Follow up of all sales terms and agreements
  • Monitor competitive actions that may have influence on the key accounts
  • Maintenance of all historical data
  • Prepare presentations with the cooperation of all relative depts (marketing, trade marketing, sales administration)
  • Proposals for improvement
  • Develop & integrate the sales plan by customer/distributor
  • Align the sales plan by customer with the brands’ target
  • Select products and quotas in alignment with the target
  • Present the benefits of the brands and the products to the customer/distributor
  • Launch and promote new brands / products
  • Recognize the key persons / the ones with purchase responsibility
  • Define the customer service level
  • Programs the orders and the shipments per month

 

Internal working relationships: Sales Management, Sales Administration, Logistic, Marketing, Trade Marketing, IT, Finance

External working relationships: Customers/Distributors, stores, customers’ advertising companies, customers’ marketing department, customers’ warehouses, consumers, suppliers, Third party warehouse, clients` accountants

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in related fields (Bachelor/ Master/ Diploma).
  • At least 5 years of Sales Experience with understanding of Key Account management, preferably in an FMCG company
  • Selling & negotiation skills in the international environment, preferably acquired in a multi-national company with high seasonality.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Attention to detail and process affinity.
  • Strong follow-up and prioritization skills.
  • Highly competitive mindset & Business results-oriented: ability to perform and manage forecasts.
  • Ability to work in a wide variety of projects with tight deadlines.
  • Ability to operate within a matrix business environment and handle diverse audiences.
  • A confident and articulate communicator capable of inspiring strong collaboration within an organization.
  • Proactive, positive, and innovative mind.
  • Fast learner – the ability to work in high energy, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent Excel Skills.
  • Fluency in English.
