For our Mattel office in Frankfurt, Germany, we are looking for a temporary

Assistant Brand Manager Fisher-Price Germany/Austria/Switzerland

as part of a parental leave cover for approx. 1 year.

 

The Opportunity:

As Assistant Brand Manager you’ll be part of the Germany/Austria/Switzerland marketing team based in Frankfurt. You will contribute to product line selection and amplifying and executing local marketing, advertising and promotional programs for the Fisher-Price brand. With your manager’s guidance, you will ensure effective, creative and efficient implementation of brand strategies and plans by working with various business functions and agencies with the objective to grow sales and market share. Furthermore, you act as key interface on the brand for both internal stakeholders and external stakeholders.

WHAT YOUR IMPACT WILL BE:

  • develop understanding of the market, consumer insights and shopper behavior in order to help identify growth opportunities and inform brand strategy development and plan execution
  • contribute to product line selection and pricing process execution in line with regional and global guidance
  • marketing budget management
  • review product demand forecast in line with the business target, as part of Sales & Operations Planning
  • support the development and execute local marketing plans in partnership with Digital team, agency partners and licensors where applicable
  • contribute to retail plans together with Sales and Go-To-Market teams and customer engagement through presentations of product and brand plans to Sales and key local customers
  • monitor business results and effectiveness of initiatives and propose action when necessary
  • creative asset localization and translation validation in partnership with agencies

 

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

 

  • Commercial/marketing experience within Brand Marketing in Toys, FMCG or licensed consumer goods (1-2 years working experience or alternatively substantial internship experience)
  • University degree in Marketing, Sales, Business Administration or any other related field (Bachelor/ Master/ Diploma)
  • Ability to work on a variety of projects with tight deadlines and to multi-task accordingly.
  • Can work effectively in a fast paced and pressurized environment
  • Great tactical skills, ability to be flexible and react quickly to changing situations
  • Build and maintain effective collaborative relationships with a large number of stakeholders
  • problem solver with a creative and analytical mind-set, able to read and interpret data and make proactive recommendations based on given insight
  • Positive attitude, will-do-can-do
  • High competitive spirit
  • Results orientated, winning mentality, and a strong will to succeed
  • MS Office and basic social media knowledge
  • Native level of German and fluent in English
