Title and Summary

VP, Product Management-Technical

Overview

• The DMP(Decision Management Program) enables Mastercard intelligent decision based products through streaming analytics with the ability to govern these decisions and manage their outcomes with business agility.
• This program leverages business rules & AI engines, a streaming big data cluster, an in memory data grids, APIs, & UIs to deliver real time decisions at global scale.
• This person will be responsible for leading the software engineer teams to provide technical solutions and ensure the intelligent decision based products performance meets the SLA for our customers.

We are looking for a VP, Product Management - Technical to join our DMP team in Vancouver office.

• Are you a strategic thinker that can develop the roadmap for innovative initiatives while collaborating with technical SMEs provides technical design?
• Are you a collaborator capable of communicating effectively with Business and IT stakeholders across all organizational levels?
• Are you an innovator who embraces, adopts, and studies the latest technology to solve challenging business problems?

Role
• Lead the roadmap development across multiple initiatives and scrum teams to build the synergy and achieve business goals
• Manage the intake process to ensure the requests are fulfilled and prioritized
• Collaborating cross team SMEs to convert business requirement into technical solutions.
• Responsible for overseeing Epics, features, stories and elaboration of them
• Drive discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution.
• Coach PMTs in the team and cultivate the culture of excellence

Essential Knowledge/Experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience as a product manager managing multiple initiatives and stakeholders.
• Extensive experience in leading prioritization while building the resiliency and identify the risks in technical planning.
• Extensive experience in agile project management.
• Strong capability in interpreting between engineer teams and product owners.
• Experience in leverage OKR framework to set and track measurable goals.
• Display high degree of initiative & self-motivation with a willingness and ability to learn and take on challenging opportunities

Desirable Skills:
• Good understanding of machine learning model-based application development and deployment
• Payment industry knowledge
