About the Role:
The Vice President, ERG Strategy Lead will oversee the governance and operationalization of Mastercard's new Employee Resource Group (ERG) model. Reporting to our Chief Inclusion Officer, this role will collaborate with Communications, HR, Legal, and leadership to enhance ERG impact and alignment with inclusion goals. In 2024, we are evolving the ERG model to introduce Global and Regional councils to support their success.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Governance and Organization:
oCoordinate the Global ERG Council and Geography ERG Committees to drive alignment on priorities and action planning.
oGuide local Communities and ERG structures - including their focus areas and governance.
oManage the central funding process for ERGs, ensuring equitable resource access.
oTrack ERG success metrics and alignment with DEI goals.
• People:
oOversee leadership succession planning and capacity building throughout the ERG model.
oPromote collaboration among ERG communities to foster a culture of belonging.
oProvide coaching and training for ERG leaders.
• Connections & Partners:
oPartner with the ERG Communications Lead on standardized event planning and communication.
oStrengthen connections with key partners in HR and Communications.
Additional Accountabilities:
• Act as a business partner and internal advisor.
• Motivate and inspire others.
• Adapt to changing environments with a global mindset.
• May work on other DEI priorities as required.
• Promote an ethical working environment.
All About You:
Skills/Experience:
• Experience leading large-scale diversity and inclusion initiatives, preferably within ERGs.
• Strong understanding of global and local inclusion strategies.
• Program management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a knack for engaging diverse audiences.
• Proven coaching, mentoring, and facilitating abilities.
• Change agent for fostering an inclusive work environment.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
Education:
• BA or MBA preferred; relevant certifications in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion are a plus.

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
