Dynamic Yield is seeking an experienced SVP Engineering to partner with the CEO and the leadership team in leading a vibrant, fast-moving R&D organization. Our cloud-based solution is deployed globally and serves hundreds of enterprise customers, operating within the framework of Mastercard, a global leader in digital payments.

Our platform operates on AWS, processing billions of events daily and requiring expertise in managing big data and high-volume cloud services. Dynamic Yield leverages cutting-edge AI and ML technologies in its solutions, continuously innovating to maintain its market leadership position.

The role reports directly to the CEO and is a leadership team role which provides an opportunity to be privy to all aspects of the management of the company as well as the opportunity to be a considerable influence on the strategy and direction the team will take. The SVP Engineering is expected to set the technical vision and provide the runway need to deliver on the business needs while mentoring and building a large, world class R&D team of 200+ employees that is still expanding rapidly (40+ open positions).

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

Drive end-to-end technical strategy and vision

Lead tech innovation with strong focus on AI and ML

Lead tech modernization initiatives and strategic direction

Oversee cloud infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and cost efficiency

Maintain and evolve business continuity planning (BCP)

Team Leadership

Lead and mentor a 200+ person R&D organization

Oversee technical departments including R&D, Data Science, and Operations (DevOPs, Security, Program)

Drive hiring of top talent and team development while maintaining organizational excellence

Provide regular performance feedback and mentorship

Strategic Planning

Transform product roadmap into executable delivery plans

Collaborate with product teams on backlog prioritization and capacity planning

Ensure alignment with Mastercard corporate standards and initiatives

Drive technical excellence and best practices adoption

Customer & Business Focus

Serve as technical point of contact for strategic customers

Support the sales organization through RFP responses and technical discussions

Maintain awareness of compliance requirements (GDPR, CCPA)

Ensure adherence to security standards (ISO 27xxx, SOC II)

Corporate Stewardship

Serve as the premier technical contact point for the various departments in Mastercard.

Build the right relationship with the corporate offices to position Dynamic Yield as a leading organization.

Get requirements from the various departments and ensure they are aligned with Dynamic Yield

Lead and continue all technical integration activities.

Required Skills & Experience

Leadership

Proven experience leading large scale R&D teams

Diverse experience of working both for startups as well as global corporates. Corporate experience is a must.

Strong track record of rapid team scaling while maintaining culture

Excellence in mentoring technical staff at all levels

Strategic thinking and decision-making capabilities

Organizational Savviness and ability to build relationships and influence

Good understanding of Agile methodologies and their application.

Technical Expertise

Extensive AWS cloud platform experience

Strong AI and ML understanding and experience

Expertise in big data technologies (Spark, Snowflake)

Knowledge of DevOps practices, including Kubernetes and Terraform

Strong understanding of data science principles and challenges

Familiarity with regulatory and security frameworks and practices.

Business Acumen

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Ability to bridge technical and business requirements

Experience working with enterprise customers

Strong organizational and stakeholder management abilities
