Title and Summary

Sr. Analyst, People Analytics

The Sr. Analyst, People Analytics will be a member of the Global People Operations and Insights team which provides data, analytics, operational and strategic decision support across multiple business units in regions across Mastercard.
This individual will bring experience in analytics, project management and agile methodologies experience to enable data-driven decisions about talent at Mastercard. Competitive candidates will be detail-oriented, execution-focused, and accomplished with identifying opportunities to introduce consistency & scale to analytical outputs within a matrixed organization.

Role
• Partners closely with Senior Data Analysts within the broader People Operations and Insights team to identify opportunities to create scalable reporting solutions & visualizations.
• Develop Tableau/PowerBI dashboards and reports that adhere to the visualization best practices and communicate a story.
• Participate in drafting documents and presentations for communicating innovations, ideas, or discoveries.
• Contribute to strengthening motivated, innovative, and productive team that creates next generation analytics for Mastercard.
• Generate and implement ideas to continuously improve analytics and reporting services delivery.
• Sees beyond requestors' asks to understand the root query or challenge for which data are being requested.
• Validates and enforces people data integrity in collaboration with Data management & HR Systems teams.
• Owns project management responsibility an seek guidance from senior members to help manage book of work with Technology team at Mastercard.
• Demonstrates exceptional judgment and discretion when dealing with highly sensitive people data.
• Brings agile methodologies experience (Preferably Jira)

Essential
• Experience in working with organizational/workforce data.
• Ability to collaborate with peers and cross functional teams, working across multiple time zones.
• Flexible and responsive, with ability to adapt to rapid change in direction or business priority.
• Openness to feedback and strong self-awareness
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work within the confines of data governance and privacy standards.
• Intellectual curiosity and enthusiasm to apply data to discover and solve business challenges and questions.
• Problem solving mentality, resourcefulness, and creativity in identifying solutions.
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build professional relationship, influence and negotiate.
• Proficiency in Alteryx and Tableau/PowerBI
• Proficiency in data preparation/ETL.
• Knowledge of a programming language like R or Python.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, ability to write, execute and optimize performance of complex queries.
• Expertise with information delivery and knowledge of data visualization techniques for preparing data discovery, operational and executive dashboards.
• Experience developing complex reporting and analytics applications.
• Ability to communicate complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner with both technical and non-technical customers.

Desirable
• Experience working in Data modelling tools.
• Experience with optimization models is a plus.
• Experience working in Cloud Platforms.
• Experience with Big Data technologies is a plus.
• Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques/machine learning algorithms and their application to real-world data
Education
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Analytics, Computer Science, Business, Psychology, Management, or a related discipline
